So, Geno's management responded to my review. I guess the first thing I personally would say as an embassador for the brand would be....
"I'm sorry you had a poor experience at our restaurant. We aim for high satisfaction with all of our customers. We hope your next experience is a positive one, so come for a free pie on us and will make sure that you are happy in the future moving on as a customer. Thanks for your important and constructive criticism".
INSTEAD what was posted was a feeble attempt to defend themselves that goes like this...
Thank you for the review A.J., We have three TVs, (I SAW ONE)
The restrooms are in-between both restaurants and not in the foyer. (BUDDY, IN-BETWEEN 2 DOORS IS THE FOYER)
We sell a lot of wings and we use air fryers as we do not want to deep fry them. We pre cook them in house with our signature seasoning then package them ourselves so not sure how they could be undercooked. (BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T COOKED CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND THEN THEY WERE OLD AND EXPIRED WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE SLIMY AND THEN FROZEN AND SERVED A MONTH LATER. THAT'S NOT A PRODUCT I WOULD STAND BEHIND)
We use Franks buffalo sauce with is what most wing places use. (HOW IS TELLING ME THAT YOU USE FRANK'S BUFFALO SAUCE AS A HOUSE SIGNATURE SEASONING)
Anyway we also have another room attached to our restaurant with a fireplace and tables for another 20 people. (YES A PRIVATE ROOM SEPARATE FROM THE RESTAURANT. I GET IT, IT'S NOT PART OF THE RESTAURANT. IT'S A DARK DINGY ROOM THAT'S UNINVITING.)
As for our inside décor we have almost no generic Italian artwork at our restaurant with the exception of one original that was painted for us by one of our customers. Most of our décor is a tribute to Eau Claire and sports. I SUPPOSE THAT'S YOUR OPINION, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE GOODWILL TOOK A DUMP IN THERE. RANDOM LITTLE STATUES OF FAT ITALIAN MAKING PIZZA. THAT'S KNOWN AS GENERIC DECOR.)
This was a very long review (I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I WAS DETAILED AND BRUTALLY HONEST.)
and running the best restaurant for Pizza in Eau Claire takes an enormous amount of work so I have to get back to it. (FDBABLE AND IT SHOWS IN YOUR BUILDING, YOUR MANAGEMENT, DEMEANOR, YOUR STAFF AND PRODUCT.)
Come back and try our signature Geno's sauce on your wings and our award winning pizza.
I WOULD TAKE YOUR RESPONSE FAR MORE SERIOUSLY IF IT WASN'T RIDDLED WITH TYPOS BECAUSE YOU'RE POUNDING AWAY AT YOUR KEYBOARD LIKE SOME...
Read moreAs we were traveling back home through Eau Claire, me and my daughter were hungry for Pizza, my husband was outnumbered, so he agreed. We didn't know where to go so we decided on Geno's as it was literally right on our way home. First off, walking into the restaurant, the aroma itself was amazing! Staff greeted us immediately and told us to pick a table. The waiter came over and ordered our drinks and brought them right away. The menu had several different specialty pizzas, appetizers and build your own pizza. We ordered the garlic cheese bread, and it was absolutely amazing. It was not just your typical garlic cheese bread, we ordered 4 slices, they were very good size and had been toasted perfectly. Me and my family are pretty basic when it comes to pizza, so we ordered a pepperoni pizza for my daughter and a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza for me and my husband. As we waited the atmosphere was very relaxing and staff kept our drinks filled. A short time later our waitress indicated there had been a small incident with our pizzas and it would be a bit longer. The owner and his wife also came over and apologized - they were all so nice!! Our pizzas came a little while later and the sauce had the most amazing taste, the cheese on the pizza was fresh and the pizza was cooked perfectly. Both me and my husband agreed this was definitely the best pizza we had ever had. We left full, completely satisfied and wishing Geno's Pizza was closer to where we lived!!! Their pizza's, food and hospitality went above and beyond and if you're in the Eau Claire area, I highly recommend stopping at Geno's...
Read moreMy wife wanted to surprise me with a nice deep dish pizza for Father's Day and after reading so many good reviews of this place she ordered a sausage deep dish with mushrooms and black olives which I like.... She called in the order and picked it up to bring home... Once home I opened the box and the pizza already didn't look right.... First off the crust was so hard and dark brown nearly fully burnt and the pizza itself had tiny pieces of sausage drowning in what I had to imagine was an entire quart of sauce sitting like a pool ready to burst out the sides.... I realize why they don't cut the pizza there since the sauce would be everywhere in a matter of seconds which it was upon cutting it... The toppings did finally appear out the sides and there was cheese but just at the bottom... The pizza was so wet that in a very short time the bottom of the pizza had merged with the paper underneath it so it made the task of picking up a slice very difficult unless you like eating paper... It was both the hardest and most wet pizza I have ever experienced.... The other pizzas I saw reviewed from there had toppings especially cheese over the sauce to keep the sauce in place so I can imagine those may have been better but unfortunately that was not the case here... I just expected better from such a...
