Is The Goat Coffee House the GOAT?

Not quite but pretty close.

Continuing our exploration of Eau Claire, Tim mentioned how he’s always wanted to try The Goat out so the next thing we knew, we were parking out front and reading the board listing the barista’s favorite drinks.

I grabbed a caramel latte with almond milk and Tim grabbed something that I don’t remember. It was fairly busy so we headed to the back room. Well, that ended up being an adventure as the coffeehouse extended on and on and on. We ended up in the far back near the back door. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a coffeehouse that felt like it went on and on and on.

Any who, enough about that. It was fairly busy when we arrived so our drinks took a hot second to come out but not too long. We got to sipping and talking and the drink wasn’t too bad. A bit light on caramel flavoring but overall not bad.

Once we finished up our drinks, we dipped out to the next destination. Would I say The Goat is GOAT? Not based on one drink alone and seeing as this was the only coffeehouse I stopped at during my stay in Eau Claire… I am curious to try others out to see how they stack up...

A fun and relaxed place to kill an hour or so. Seems to have a hipster like feel to it however doesn't seem to attack that crowd. There is always 15+ people inside but never loud, even with close proximity seating. The food attempts to be coffee shop gourmet, but like most it falls short of expectations. The food is also a little pricey, but their scones are great for the value. If you enjoy a decent and fare priced coffee or espresso with a cheap scone then swing in or take a seat and get a project started, but if you're looking to enjoy a fantastic fresh coffee, unique and well made meal, and a luxurious place to relax then I'd recommend...

First time and I hope I come back! I had the spicy hog breakfast sandwich and it was so good. Just a hint of spice so don’t be scared by the name. The ratio of ingredients was superb. Coffee had a wonderful flavor as well. But what made me feel most comfortable is the whole vibe of the place. I really appreciate that the music isn’t too loud because at some places it can be. The Goat has friendly staff who all seem genuinely stoked to be working here. Relaxed and easy place with some personality added in....

Used my Christmas gift card to try the Red Headed Goat and the Wasabi Suckerpunch sandwiches, and a chocolate croissant Overall very good, though the wasabi truly is a suckerpunch on that sandwich, they got the name right. It is overwhelming. The croissant was perfect crispy, buttery chocolate goodness There is surprisingly a lot of seating here, the building looks small from the front I’ll be coming back to try more sandwiches since these were great

Another home run here. Service was excellent. The confections are fantastic here. Freshly made. The coffee was the star of the show. Been to many coffee houses across the US. Atmosphere is great for a non chain store. This one ranks high, almost as good as Lani Coffee in San Diego. Highly highly recommend.
