I don't understand how this Burger King remains open after all the years of horrible service, this includes the lack of food (always out of something... fries, drinks, dessert, etc.) and the lack of care from the employees who should concern themselves with getting your order right, but most of the time they don't. I have always been a fan of the original chicken sandwich meal (even as a child). I was never really a big McDonald's fan (I'm still not, I'm not really a fast food fan period). That being said, I limit my visits here as much as possible, I ONLY go when I want to walk down memory lane which might be once every 4 or 5 months, sometimes longer then that. However, I know that I will most likely be disappointed and 9 times out of 10 I usually am. Fewer and fewer Burger Kings are located in this area and that's sad to see, but as much as I don't want to see Burger Kings disappearing from Volusia county, this one needs to either close or get a complete overhaul. Unfortunately, over the years I have seen some very slight upgrades and/or improvements, but with that being said, you can't fix the employees. The employees don't hesitate to let you know that they hate their jobs, whether they actually say it out loud or just by the way they interact with customers. I have even witnessed a manager conducting an interview with an applicant and he stated "You don't really have to do much working here, just come in when you can and fake the funk until you punch out" I couldn't believe I overheard that while filling my cup up with soda while I was inside waiting for my food order, because going through the drive thru is atrocious... You wait for an extremely long time to get food that is most likely not your order or your order is missing items from it, even when you are the only customer at the property at that time placing an order. The only thing I can come up with that keeps this place open is that it has to be a front for money laundering or something of that nature. The building and the parking lot are almost always empty. I know, that statement is a little much, but seriously how do they keep the lights on and the doors open with such horrible service? It can't be from my maybe twice a year order that is keeping this place operating, so...
Read moreI should call Corporate and ask for the video surveillance... I swear to you, by the end of our experience I was leaned over my husband (who was in the driver's seat) looking for candid cameras because there is no way this could possibly be real... OH BUT IT WAS! I was immediately annoyed by complete lack of customer service... took the credit card out of my husband's hand without giving a total, or a "thank you" or any other word. Eh, whatever... it's Burger King, right? Hands him back his card. We don't get a receipt. Waiting. Waiting. Now a new cashier comes up to the window. Tells us our total. No, "bro" we already paid. No, you didn't. Yes we did! No, you didn't. Swiped it on the credit card again (whatever, I'll charge it back if it comes through twice). They hand out my kids' chicken nugget happy meals. My husband doesn't pull off. He immediately opens the second box (he's a ninja and could tell it was too light)... There's no chicken nuggets... in our CHICKEN NUGGET HAPPY MEAL. ??? You weren't even busy... I cannot imagine what its like when there is a rush. My mother had warned me this place was terrible... and of course I didn't listen.
Two weeks later, my credit card was only charged once. I was worried the first cashier may have done something sketchy, but no weird charges or anything occurred. So. Weird mistake? Could have just apologized but whatever. You could have apologized for the missing chicken nuggets instead of just sending them out the window, immediately, like you intentionally didn't give them or something? So strange. Will not be back.
Lastly, to be fair, all of our food was good so I figured they maybe...
Read moreI'm giving them a 3 stars because they actually got the order correct. How, we went through the drive thru not because we wanted to but because we had to. The sign outside said the lobby was open, but all the doors were locked. We went through the drive thru, we placed our order and after we received our food, I asked the young man if I could use the restroom. I explained that the sign outside advertised that the lobby was opened. He said he would try....... he looked like he didn't know what I was talking about or comprehended that I need to use the restroom. We were on a road trip and I need to use the restroom. I didn't bother staying because I didn't think I was gonna get much results considering the blank expression on his face. After leaving, we realised that they failed to include our receipt. I drove back and requested it so, that I could fill out the survey and write a review. It's sad that the customer is not taken into consideration and if you have a sign outside that says your lobby is open your lobby should be open, that's false advertising and I'm not positive but I am guessing that this is a franchise and it's being run very poorly and the Burger King corporation should be aware. I am a fan of Burger King because they provide the Impossible Whopper. More and more fast food places are providing meat free options but BK was one of the 1st to jump on this fast moving train and I try to go there whenever possible, especially on...
