Gary Yeomans Ford sent me to XD Audio and I am glad they did. I just wish I had asked them where to go before I let another shop tear up my brand new Mustang.
If you want anything done in car audio donât go anywhere but XD Audio. There are places in Daytona and Sanford but go at your own risk. The one in Daytona messed up my Lincoln LS forcing me to pay Gary Yeomans Ford to correct the damage and replace some of the components with ones that would work.
The one outside of Daytona down I-4 was even worse. The job was supposed to take 2 days on my 2024 Mustang. They called the following day instead at 3:30 and told us we had to come pick up the car by 5:00 that day forcing us to race over there and get there at quarter to 5 when they were about to close. When I got in the car there was no Bass and very little mid-range for my $4000.00. They told me it was the music I was playing and blew me off. I believe they had me show up right at closing time so they could get rid of me as quickly as possible before I realized what they had done to the car. I had to take the car back to Gary Yeomans where I bought it to see if they could figure out what they messed up. Gary Yeomans referred me to XD Audio and the damage they did to the car was horrendous. They cut up the trunk liner ( $687.00 to replace) threw all the components in a corner of the trunk and put a cover over it. According to XD putting the amplifier and other components in a confined space with no ventilation would at best burn the equipment out and at worst create a fire in the car. Also, instead of running new wire as they should have they cut up the Factory Wiring Harness making it impossible to ever put the Factory B&O stereo back in the car. Oh, last thing. The amp they sold me had the Bass Channel burned out.
Daniel at XD not only fixed the problems and most of the damage but put the right components in. Bottom line, every stereo place I have gone to in Daytona and beyond only wanted my money, do the fastest- worst job possible , and shove me out the door. Except XD Audio.
They care a lot more about happy customers than how much money they can squeeze out of somebody. They also do the best quality work I have ever seen.
If you go to XD Audio you will not be disappointed because they will do whatever it takes to make you happy. That was not my experience with the other Car Stereo places in Daytona and beyond. If you decide to take your car to one of these other places just remember to take it to XD Audio afterwards so they can fix whatever the other place messed up in your car. Just remember one thing. Gary Yeomans Ford sent me to XD Audio. If a Ford Dealership sends you to a shop that is the best recommendation...
Read moreWent in because I remember Migraine, and the guy was too busy talking nonsense on his phone to even notice me. He kept peeking at me like I was a thief. I didn't know if he was robbing the place or worked there. Finally, after the third time of him peeking at me, I asked if he worked here, and he was all cocky saying, "Yeah, I'm the owner my guy." I gave an odd look. He gave an even odder look. I asked how much it would run for him to put in my new Sony head unit in my `24 Buick Envision Avenir. I assume he hasn't probably seen or worked on one yet, but again he acts all confident, and shoots a number back immediately. Around six bills. Don't get me wrong, I want a great job, and I don't mind paying for quality work. Migraine used to do quality work. There's no way I was letting this guy anywhere near my vehicle. I smile, turned around, walked out. As I'm walking out, he laughs and says: "When you come back it's gonna be seven bills." I do not recommend this place, and I went to another place I won't mention. They charged me $280, had the head unit in by the end of the afternoon, and refused to speak negatively about Danny, who is apparently the tool I dealt with. The place isn't XD Audio, nor is it Migraine Kustoms. It's called Elite Audio or Tint, something like that. Definitely bottom of the barrel now. Used to be so...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience. I worked with Daniel to find the perfect fit for my 2015 Golf. Not only did we discuss several options, but Daniel was cool enough to allow me to try several enclosure/sub sizes in the car in order to find the sound I was looking for. We went from a 10" Sundown to an 8" SoundQubed both sealed and ported and ultimately landed on a Sundown U-Series 8" v.1 which absolutely checks every box for the kind of bass I was looking for. As a bonus, since it's a such a compact build I can likely take it with me to the next car I purchase and get similar if not better results.
Daniel was absolutely incredible. Answered every question. Gave every opinion and answer honestly. Was incredibly patient with my lack of knowledge in the car audio space. Not only did I leave with the setup I wanted but I also left more informed and confident with my solution. I appreciate the team and the patience while we figured out what I needed and Daniel, I can't thank you enough. I'm sure we'll be talking soon about my Atlas.
Very clean setup by the way. High quality cables. Birch ported and carpeted enclosure. Clean punchy lows and presence when I need it but not too much. Thanks...
