I usually never leave reviews (besides one or two POSITIVE reviews), especially for a sandwich, but my experience was too uncomfortable not to say something.
The younger heavier-set male worker (working alongside someone else I forgot who) making my sandwich today was very strange and rude. He seemed extremely socially awkward. Barely made eye contact, mumbled the whole time, and was just hard to communicate with. That alone would’ve been fine because who am I to judge as long as I get my food, but the attitude he gave on top of it is what made it really uncomfortable.
I was polite, asked questions (it was my first time there and I’m only familiar w other sub stores so I had like one or two questions), and still felt like I was being treated like a problem. I’m very sorry I don’t know how jersey mikes works like the back of my hand and I don’t know the secret krabby patty formula like… I also had to repeat myself multiple times because he wasn’t listening properly, he acted annoyed, and he made me feel like I was doing something wrong just for ordering and talking to him. Please speak up and speak clearly and don’t get upset because someone can’t understand you because of that. Weren’t even difficult instructions… Perhaps my questions were silly to him but I don’t know jersey mikes and I was legit ordering for other people not me and I genuinely was just trying to fulfill their requests and get out of there.
Lacking social skills isn’t the problem but being rude to a polite customers is. I actually felt secondhand embarrassment from the whole exchange. Never in my life have I met someone like that in a customer related position.
I was the only customer there, it was more than a hour from closing time, I don’t have any communication barriers, I was not rude, I was speaking at an appropriate volume.
I really hope this doesn’t happen to...
Read moreI love Jersey Mike’s Subs…however, today I had a terrible experience that I would like to share.
I phone in an order and requested a Chicken Philly sub. Once I arrived at the store the associate was courteous and provided good customer service in grabbing my order and processing the payment.
When I arrived home, I realized that the Chicken Philly was actually a regular cheese steak. I phone the store to tell them of the incident, the associate apologized and asked me to return to the store and stated they would take care of it right away. About 3 minutes later I received a call from store. The gentleman said he was the assistant manager and accused me of punching the wrong buttons when I ordered and insisted that the mistake was not on their end, without asking me any questions. Once he finished, I politely said, Sir, I called in the order and spoke with someone at your store. I did not use the app to place the order. Therefore, it was impossible for me to punch the wrong button. And I told, I haven’t eaten beef in over 10 years. He stated, well the ticket say it’s #17 and that’s a Philly Cheese Steak. I said, ok. That’s fine, but it’s not what I ordered. He insisted that I ordered something that I didn’t. When I returned to the store, I explained again. The assistant manager refused to make a new sandwich or refund my money. I am a very dissatisfied customer. One would think that managers are trained better. Even had I made the mistake, in which I didn’t, you would think they would re-make the sandwich to have a satisfied customer. I feel bad for the staff under the leadership (or lack of leadership) of the assistant manager. I am hopeful that there is training to prevent something like this from happening...
Read moreThree of us come here once a week some times more , most of the workers know us, even what we order. Thought we had a great relationship with the establishment we frequent regularly….. guess not… Today 6/6 at 11:30ish we ordered our sandwiches and we checked out, then we went to put the fixings on our sandwich and always get the mikes hot honey, but today when we ordered it the man making sandwiches (curly hair and blue eyes), said ‘that’s an extra charge’ we never knew there was an extra charge since no one ever said that in that past… so we said oh we just paid, I didn’t know. So he wouldn’t put the hot honey on the sandwich. Customer service clearly isn’t his thing and now you lost 3 loyal customers! We will go the next town over where the service is great. I’ll make sure to tell my friends too!
Here’s some suggestions post that hot honey is extra…
Don’t check us out before we finish making our topping selections!
Oh well .. your...
