This has been my go-to ny style chinese food place for the past couple of months and honestly I love it all their dishes so far. Most Chinese take outs here,, add in eggs and I really don't like that. So I soon as I saw my pork fried rice didn't include eggs I was relieved! Last time I have ordered fried tofu with veggie rice. i was given soooo much food (easily for 2 people) and absolutely delicious! I'll definitely order thay again when I'm really hungry lol For some reason, NO ONE has uploaded their full menu so I took pictures of that.

Thought the food was fine until I found the bag of fried wonton noodles (for the soup) filled with live ants. To be fair, I did not call them and let them know or ask them to make it right. Not sure how to make that right. Could’ve easily been a fluke but I won’t try again to find out.

I would never recommend this restaurant because the attention is very slow and the food is not good, and besides the waiting time is very long, everything looks neglected and with little maintenance! I don’t know how they’re still open

I found myself hungry and waiting for a late appointment. I was sitting in my car directly in front of Hong Fu. I did a quick search and read some reviews - as you are now doing. Many reviews said it was "NYC style" Chinese food. Having lived in NYC, I generally knew what that meant - stuff Chinese feed Americans that Chinese people wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. My Pavlovian conditioning kicked in - right on cue, I began salivating - So, I went for it.

To commemorate my dad's favorite dish, I had the Sweet & Sour Chicken. I shouldn't tell you that my dad and I were estranged. (Side note: I've had Sweet & Sour Chicken hundreds of times. I've never once tasted anything sour - gastric reflux notwithstanding.)

Yes! Hong Fu is NYC style Chinese food. Additionally, Hong Fu has NYC style decor in their "dining room." Boxes of supplies stacked against the wall. Pandemic plexiglass with a pass-through and the vestigial no touch pass-through box off to the side. Faded photos of menu items hugged the wall and ceiling. Walls that have never seen soap and water, let alone fresh paint. A refrigerator filled with soft drinks pumping out a thousand BTUs into the dining room. I wouldn't want to be the guy who opens up in the morning and turns on the lights.

But there I sat - literal exhibit "A" of classical conditioning. My shoulders hunched over a Styrofoam plate, head slunk low over a pile of batter encrusted, deep-fried chicken smothered in plum sauce - the Chinese equivalent of maple syrup - gleefully gulping down my food.

Even so. Will I return? Definitely! Hey! 16 million New Yorkers can't be wrong. Well, you know what I mean.

Side note: Hóngfú; literally means 'Red Sleeves' and is the name of a legendary Chinese folk heroine from imperial China whose birth name was Zhang Chuchen.

It makes me happy thinking she loved Sweet & Sour Chicken covered in plum sauce, which on occasion made it to her...

This place looks bad but NOT as bad as the way the owners do their job/business!! Very disappointed!! They get my order incorrect then blame ME!!! When I call back... After being placed on hold for SEVERAL minutes, they hang up!!! REALLY?!?! I called back AGAIN and the male picks up while talking to another consumer and HANGS UP... AGAIN!!! Finally the female (Owner) answers her phone and once again I am blamed for not ordering (it). This order has been the same for the past 7-8 years!!! I always order the same food, each and every time I place my order!! I don’t mind paying for whatever is missing from my order as long as my receipt confirmed that. But I’m NOT paying for delivery because of their mishap!! NOT HAPPENING!!! Folks, be careful when ordering from this establishment. I’m not telling you how to do your business with this restaurant. I’m just letting you guys what has happened to me... more than once. And would prefer if this issue stopped with me and not continue with others that work just as hard as I do for their money. Make sure that you ask them to repeat your order before you get off the phone with them. If not, expect for something to be missing out of your order. I’m not here to bash anyone. Not even the male whom act extremely unprofessional via telephone. I’m here to warn my fellow Orlando friends what you can expect if you end up having an issue with “Hung Fu” if you haven’t... bless you! However, it’s just a matter of time and unfortunately the inevitable. You will be blamed...

Order small beef fried rice and sesame chicken got home my husband took a bite and says I believe there’s something wrong either they cooked it mixed with fish or some seafood it doesn’t taste right so he had me try it and the meat looked very discolored and didn’t have a smell so I taste and it was not good at all so I told my husband throw it out the entire order not only she was being weird while taking my order and got a little annoyed because I didn’t want the COMBINATION PLATTER she kept saying to me is that all while I was still placing another order l didn’t make a big deal about it and figured maybe she just isn’t herself today I still provided her with good manners the fact that I had to throw out 2 entire orders because it wasn’t good and believe to be spoiled food. I just gave away free money to this place and a huge slap to my face I WILL NEVER EVER EAT FROM HERE AGAIN My husband could’ve had food poisoning had he proceeded to eat this your place gets a zero doesn’t deserve not even 1 star and it does need to be checked by the department of food safety and sanitation ASAP to ensure others safety of spoiled food...
