Title: Unforgettable Graduation Party: Exemplary Service and Cherished Memories
I recently had the pleasure of hosting my son's graduation party at this remarkable establishment, and I cannot express enough how extraordinary the entire experience was. From the moment we began planning, Mrs. Malhotra's invaluable assistance in clarifying our requirements set the stage for a seamless event. Mr. Rohit and his team took ownership and involvement in the party to a whole new level, leaving us truly impressed.
During the planning process, Mr. Rohit showcased both the indoor and outdoor spaces, assuring us that contingencies for rain were in place. As predicted, rain started drizzling on the day of the event, but the staff's proactive approach was incredible. They swiftly moved the tables to the patio, constantly monitored the weather, and, when the skies cleared, suggested moving everything back outside. The coordination and efficiency they demonstrated were truly commendable.
From the immaculate kitchen to the exceptional chefs, every aspect of the culinary experience was exceptional. The meticulously prepared appetizers, including Hara Bara Kabab, Tandoor Paneer Tikka, Assorted Pakora, and Mughalai Corn, delighted the taste buds. The main course offered flavorful dishes like Chole, Malai Kofta, Mirchi ka Salan, and Veg Jalfreize, accompanied by Jain Butter Naan and Puri. The delectable Mango ice cream and Gulab Jamun provided a delightful conclusion to the feast.
The staff's genuine smiles, warm hospitality, and impeccable service made us feel right at home. The open bar tab and melodious music added to the enchanting ambiance of the beautifully arranged outdoor courtyard. It was an evening filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories.
Although the pricing was slightly upscale, the exceptional service and memorable experience made it worth every penny. I would highly recommend this establishment for hosting special events, as their dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring an unforgettable experience were truly commendable. My son's graduation party will forever be etched in our hearts as a truly remarkable...
Read moreWe recently had a family wedding here and were extremely disappointed in how it turned out. The service was essentially nonexistent, there were no waiters/waitresses or any workers to be found anytime something was requested. No one was going around the tables refilling waters and when you ask for water at the bar, it was served in a shot glass. The food was served buffet style and was a serve yourself style; however, the chicken ended quickly and took extremely long to be refilled. This caused a back up in the line and people waiting a long time to get their food. When we needed the lights turned down or the wedding cake table moved, there was no one to assist and the attendees had to do it themselves. Lastly, we paid extra in order to guarantee we would have access to the full indoor and outdoor venue in case of weather issues. We were promised if we pay for this, we would be receiving the full indoor venue; however, when we showed up half of the indoor venue was rented out to another event. This caused our event tables to be extremely crowded, pressed together and the dance floor was way too tight. Overall, the owner promised us many things and we paid a decent service charge; however, the day of we were completely shocked by the outcome. The owner was very unaccommodating, unhelpful and dishonest in terms of our agreement and what we received. We would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for what they charge per person, you are better off with any other venue and a reliable trusted vendor. Additionally, the wedding cake (which was not part of the venue, we paid for it from a separate vendor) was awkwardly placed in the back towards the buffet line rather than next to the bride/groom table. No one cut the cake and passed it out to the guest and the coffee was never refilled. My family and I genuinely felt scammed from the outcome of this event and wish no one will have to deal with these very dishonest owners and...
Read moreMy friend had a wedding held at Akbar Restaurant and I was greatly disappointed in the service that Akbar provided, in fact I would recommend to avoid this place at all costs, especially for weddings.
During the wedding ceremony we had a ceiling incident where water started to downpour from the ceiling due to a leak. I did not fault the restaurant for not being prepped for the leak however it was the service after the leak that left me shocked!
Not only did the restaurant not fix the leak, they let it continue during the wedding and let the whole floor and let the surrounding tables to get flooded with water. In fact we had to remove a few tables from the event due to this. Note, there is a limited number of seats at weddings. The only thing the staff members did was put a plant below the leak, yet this did nothing at all, in fact water continued to pour out from below the plant's vase!
After seeing this, I attempted to talk to the staff manager about this and he simply stated they fixed this leak in the prior week. This may even be true but it did nothing about the problem we faced. There was no follow up and nothing was done to fix the issue.
In addition to this, following this incident, my friend who's wedding was being done at the hall asked to be compensated for the disruption. My friend was able to negotiate a merely $200 for some off the issues (note we paid much more for this hall and this incident disrupted the wedding altogether).
My friend wasn't able to collect the $200 right away so he attempted to do so after returning from his honeymoon. After returning, the manager in fact went back on his own words and did not give him the $200 as well.
I'm not claiming the manager did this on purpose or not but I can say with strong conviction that if the wedding was being held by a white family, the situation would have been handled completely differently.
If you want to get ripped off with terrible service, book...
