Wonderful ambience, Tasty Food and Great arrangements !!! Special Thanks to Meenakshi and Rohith for taking good care of all the arrangements and helping us out with all the last minute needs. They made our party a grand one and were very friendly. We had our Parents 25th wedding anniversary at @Akar restaurant and in the center Hall. It had ample amount of space and the food arrangements were fantastic. There was a supervisor and 2 staff at the bar with us throughout the party. The setup of appetizers separate and main course+dessert separate was also very good and it was a good experience for the guests as they enjoyed the appetizers as snacks and later enjoyed the main courses Dishes. Everything was tasty and presented well. The highlight of the party was the POORI and SHAHI TUKDA(Dessert). I would recommend you all to choose "POORI" for the Breads, bcos naan - Everyone would have tasted everywhere, but Poori only in veg restaurants, that too very few would have tasted. Poori +veg/non-veg curry made the best pair - Both kids and adults will love it for sure. And Shahi tukda was a different choice than usual but it was very tasty and kids and adults both really enjoyed it !!! And we had Gobi manchurian, Masal Mushrooms, Panner tikka, Chicken 65 and Mixed chicken Kebab for the appetizers and everything was very tasty, especially mixed Kebab and Masala Mushrooms were top :) everything was planned out well and well organised. The appetizers came at the time we told and then it was take out and Main course+dessert followed it. It was so organised and Kudos to the staff of Akbar Restaurant - they did an awesome job. Once again Thanks to Meenakshi and Rohith for taking care of all the arrangements. Our parents were very happy with all the arrangements and how well the party was organised. We would highly recommend "Akbar restaurant" For any occasion and they would do a great job for making it even more special :)

Ordered lassi and chai. Lassi was good per my wife hence two stars but the masala chai was upsetting to me. It was basically water with Tetley black tea bag with a splash of creamer. It was not even a masala brand, it was water and basic black tetley tea. So I thought maybe my experiences growing up in Toronto have misguided me on expectations for masala chai. So I look up the website again before making this post to make sure just maybe I didn’t read the description properly and I am in wrong. “Traditional Indian black milk tea blended with our homemade aromatic spices and herbs”. It’s not so much that the tea is basic, it’s the fact they could have easily said sorry we don’t have masala we can make tetley black tea, I would have said that is ok caffeine is what i really need. But instead when I walked in 20 mins after placing order I was told the order just came in, Theekh hai no problem. But to rush and bring out English tea to me? Even when you can see I am Pakistani not some non desi you can fool. Please be mindful of such details because desis know and talk to each other and this can cost you more business. Simple business etiquettes on even small purchases can bring you in larger gatherings for shadi, aqiqa, ameen etc. Plan was for me to return tomorrow night for dinner after touring NYC but how can I ?

Title: Unforgettable Graduation Party: Exemplary Service and Cherished Memories

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my son's graduation party at this remarkable establishment, and I cannot express enough how extraordinary the entire experience was. From the moment we began planning, Mrs. Malhotra's invaluable assistance in clarifying our requirements set the stage for a seamless event. Mr. Rohit and his team took ownership and involvement in the party to a whole new level, leaving us truly impressed.

During the planning process, Mr. Rohit showcased both the indoor and outdoor spaces, assuring us that contingencies for rain were in place. As predicted, rain started drizzling on the day of the event, but the staff's proactive approach was incredible. They swiftly moved the tables to the patio, constantly monitored the weather, and, when the skies cleared, suggested moving everything back outside. The coordination and efficiency they demonstrated were truly commendable.

From the immaculate kitchen to the exceptional chefs, every aspect of the culinary experience was exceptional. The meticulously prepared appetizers, including Hara Bara Kabab, Tandoor Paneer Tikka, Assorted Pakora, and Mughalai Corn, delighted the taste buds. The main course offered flavorful dishes like Chole, Malai Kofta, Mirchi ka Salan, and Veg Jalfreize, accompanied by Jain Butter Naan and Puri. The delectable Mango ice cream and Gulab Jamun provided a delightful conclusion to the feast.

The staff's genuine smiles, warm hospitality, and impeccable service made us feel right at home. The open bar tab and melodious music added to the enchanting ambiance of the beautifully arranged outdoor courtyard. It was an evening filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories.

Although the pricing was slightly upscale, the exceptional service and memorable experience made it worth every penny. I would highly recommend this establishment for hosting special events, as their dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring an unforgettable experience were truly commendable. My son's graduation party will forever be etched in our hearts as a truly remarkable...

We recently had a family wedding here and were extremely disappointed in how it turned out. The service was essentially nonexistent, there were no waiters/waitresses or any workers to be found anytime something was requested. No one was going around the tables refilling waters and when you ask for water at the bar, it was served in a shot glass. The food was served buffet style and was a serve yourself style; however, the chicken ended quickly and took extremely long to be refilled. This caused a back up in the line and people waiting a long time to get their food. When we needed the lights turned down or the wedding cake table moved, there was no one to assist and the attendees had to do it themselves. Lastly, we paid extra in order to guarantee we would have access to the full indoor and outdoor venue in case of weather issues. We were promised if we pay for this, we would be receiving the full indoor venue; however, when we showed up half of the indoor venue was rented out to another event. This caused our event tables to be extremely crowded, pressed together and the dance floor was way too tight. Overall, the owner promised us many things and we paid a decent service charge; however, the day of we were completely shocked by the outcome. The owner was very unaccommodating, unhelpful and dishonest in terms of our agreement and what we received. We would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for what they charge per person, you are better off with any other venue and a reliable trusted vendor. Additionally, the wedding cake (which was not part of the venue, we paid for it from a separate vendor) was awkwardly placed in the back towards the buffet line rather than next to the bride/groom table. No one cut the cake and passed it out to the guest and the coffee was never refilled. My family and I genuinely felt scammed from the outcome of this event and wish no one will have to deal with these very dishonest owners and...

My friend had a wedding held at Akbar Restaurant and I was greatly disappointed in the service that Akbar provided, in fact I would recommend to avoid this place at all costs, especially for weddings.

During the wedding ceremony we had a ceiling incident where water started to downpour from the ceiling due to a leak. I did not fault the restaurant for not being prepped for the leak however it was the service after the leak that left me shocked!

Not only did the restaurant not fix the leak, they let it continue during the wedding and let the whole floor and let the surrounding tables to get flooded with water. In fact we had to remove a few tables from the event due to this. Note, there is a limited number of seats at weddings. The only thing the staff members did was put a plant below the leak, yet this did nothing at all, in fact water continued to pour out from below the plant's vase!

After seeing this, I attempted to talk to the staff manager about this and he simply stated they fixed this leak in the prior week. This may even be true but it did nothing about the problem we faced. There was no follow up and nothing was done to fix the issue.

In addition to this, following this incident, my friend who's wedding was being done at the hall asked to be compensated for the disruption. My friend was able to negotiate a merely $200 for some off the issues (note we paid much more for this hall and this incident disrupted the wedding altogether).

My friend wasn't able to collect the $200 right away so he attempted to do so after returning from his honeymoon. After returning, the manager in fact went back on his own words and did not give him the $200 as well.

I'm not claiming the manager did this on purpose or not but I can say with strong conviction that if the wedding was being held by a white family, the situation would have been handled completely differently.

If you want to get ripped off with terrible service, book...
