Today was my second visit to the salon and it was very disappointing. My boyfriend called this morning and was told by someone over the phone that walk-ins can come in after 11 AM. We arrived to the salon around 2:12 PM and every tech was busy. I asked the young lady who greeted me how long it would be for a fill-in and a manicure for my boyfriend. of course she said just a few minutes so we sat down and waited. 45 minutes went by and the gentleman that works there was the first tech to be available. My boyfriend needed to be out of the salon by 3:20pm in order to pick up my daughter from camp on time. I asked the young woman who was set to be doing my nails after her current client if the gentleman could start on my boyfriend because he needed to leave in the next 25 minutes. Her response was and I quote “the girl who does manicures is with someone and the gentleman does not do Male customers so I don’t know.” Not because he was busy, not because he had an appointment coming, not because he was unable to do the service but because he doesn’t do men’s nails! So I explained to her that he needed to leave soon and we had already been waiting there for 45 minutes when upon arrival we were told it would just be a few minutes. She went and spoke to another Nail Tech and said that the girl who does manicures would be free in 25 minutes and she could do him then. Not only was it a complete waste of our time to sit there waiting, but also the discrimination was disgusting. We walked out of the salon at 2:57 PM and did not receive a single service. Oct 2025: Love getting my nails done here! Tracy is the best she always takes a great effort in prepping the nails and making sure they're all perfect. i got my previous gel polish drilled off, got an acrylic on one of my thumbs that had broken, and then got gel polish on my natural nails and 4 designs on each hand. this was total $45 + $10 tip! very well priced and took less than an hour. these are UC Berkeley themed (blue & gold are their school colors + their mascot is a bear) and Tracy always helps me refine my design choices. I called the night before to set an appointment for the next day.
March 2025: Acrylic nails for vacation! these lasted 7 weeks!! they only came off because I cut them off, barely any fell off or chipped. i usually don't get nails this long but i loved them and got a seashell & starfish design. I don't remember the price for these or who did them.
May 2024: Acrylic nails for prom! I got chrome on all and then pearls on one finger per hand. Done beautifully once again. I also got a pedicure (for the first time) and loved it! They shaped my toe nails super well and cleaned them up. My only complaint is that the iridescent on the pearl gems faded quickly but, I know now to ask them to place clear polish on top of the gems to protect the opalescent luster coating. Read moreI made an appointment 1 week ago because I wanted to treat myself, my daughter, her best friend, and my mom to some mani/pedis before vacation. Our appointment was for 3 pm but we came in at 245 to get a head start. The tech got started on me right away while my mom and children had to wait. No big deal as we could see other techs working on prior customers. But then the other techs started taking other clients before taking my mom, daughter, and her friend despite them patiently waiting for over 30 minutes. When I said something to my nail tech, he finally brought it to attention to the other workers there. I got a dip ombré and am highly disappointed. It is bumpy, uneven, and I realized after the fact the tech never checked or cut my nails to make sure that each fingernail was of even length to its counterpart on the other hand. So now I have some nails that are longer/shorter when compared to the other hand. My family was completely scattered all over the salon today with no opportunity to spend time together. When I made an appointment 1 week ago, I was under the impression that they would be prepared for 4 of us coming in and give us an experience together where we can chat and mingle amongst ourselves while getting a little pampering done. 2 hours and $200 later, we are highly disappointed because it seems they are more concerned about getting as many customers in the door vs giving each customer a good experience.
