What a breathtaking place to come and eat some good fresh dim sum! Came in here from all the hype ive seen all over online and let me say i am very glad i did!
Obviously the place is very cute but it made it more special because i could see that everything what hand painted!
The service is very great and you can tell the owner and the staff take care of their customers! You can either order from the menu or open a tab on your phone.
Now lets get into the food: Me and my friend ordered the scallion pancake, the dumplings in chili oil and the xiao long bao (soup dumplings)
Scallion pancake: So crispy and so good. Places and either make or break a scallion pancake and let me tell you they MADE it. Very scrumptious and the dipping sauce had the perfect amount of vinegar to sou ratio, great to share.
Dumplings in chili oil: We got the veggie dumplings since my friend is vegetarian, they were really great and the wrapper for the dumplings you can tell are house made just from how good and perfectly chewy they were. But omg the chili oil was so good! Not as hot as i was expecting but the chili flavor and over all it was so good, if they sold it by the bottle id honestly buy one.
Xiao Long Bao: I love soup dumplings so i was obviously gonna love these. The wrappers also had that amazing fresh flavor but wow the dumpling itself was so good. The sauce that it came was pretty good but id find myself dipping these in the chili oil the other dumplings came in bc they were really good but i honestly love eating soup dumplings by themselves also. But they were great and I didn’t burn my mouth which was a plus next time i am definitely gonna try the xiao long bao with crab.
Over all came here for a cute experience and a quick bite and that exactly what i got. The food was truly amazing and i am excited to try more...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went here and ordered the pork belly soup with soba and egg with a mango perfume lemon tea.
The pork was tender and crispy and the noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy. The broth was savory and rich and not oily at all. Very smooth and well-balanced. The egg that you can add to the dish is fried, which I was skeptical about at first but ended up enjoying it very much. The flavors in the dish complement each other well. All in all, fully satisfied by the food. Portions are filling and well worth the $18~ (with egg-add-on) price tag.
Their mango lemon perfume iced tea was excellent, with both fruit flavors coming through and leaving a pleasant aftertaste. They also had pieces of fruit in the drink that added flavor without ever getting stuck in the straw. I only wish they had more hot tea beverage options.
Atmosphere is great. They have a very kind staff and a unique store design, being all black and white and designed like a manga drawing. There are small and large tables for parties of 2-8. Everyone we interacted with was polite and helpful.
I have been to many ramen restaurants between NYC, central Jersey, and even Japan and this is my favorite one in Jersey. Small, new spot that definitely deserves more attention. Well worth your time, and you can even grab Korean corn dogs in Lotte...
Read moreAll the 4–5 star reviews here seem questionable. The food is clearly bought frozen and simply reheated—you could buy the exact same items at Lotte, 99 Ranch, or H Mart for half the price and prepare them yourself at home. It’s obvious the dishes aren’t made by them. every dumpling looked identical with the same factory-perfect markings(if you say you hand made it.. ok sure…pics below for reference) On top of that, if the food sits for more than 5–10 minutes, it develops that tough, rubbery texture typical of microwaved leftovers. This place is just for presentation and hype and not rated for food quality. The main appeal here seems to be the interior design rather than the food. It feels like the restaurant is more focused on aesthetics and attracting a trendy, non-Chinese crowd unfamiliar with authentic Chinese cuisine.
The drinks, however, were enjoyable, and the décor is stylish. For that reason alone, I’d give this...
