When I first came in there was no hello how are you there were just looks and stares but I said it’s okay everyone is not friendly so I continued to look at the menu. As my gf and I ordered everything was going good we chose our seat and waited for our food, we got our food about 10 mins later and it looked delicious. So we started to dig in my California burrito was amazing except I had no clue there was avacado in it, I like avocado but not wrapped in my burrito. When I bit into the chicken tacos they were very dry and no flavor, when I bit into the beef empanada all I tasted was oil so my girlfriend and I proceeded to eat then after we were done I went up to the counter and asked for a refund for the tacos and empanadas because they were horrible. Soon as I did cashier caught a whole attitude saying well we cook our empanadas in oil and chicken is fry when cooked. Giving me all the excuses I didn’t need I just wanted my refund then she calls the cook in and there speaking about me and the situation in Spanish and he’s looking at me as if he wanted to jump over the counter and do me bad. She finally gave me my money and as I was leaving she’s still talking and all this stuff. Don’t get me wrong food is pretty good but chicken is always dry and they don’t take...
Read moreSince I moved out of California it’s been a pain trying to find a quality Mexican place. I am at peace finding this place. The interior of the restaurant extremely clean , I wish all restaurants live to the same standards!
What makes this place truly special are the owners and the employees are considerate for all their customers . Once for my take out order, they even called because their online menu doesn’t fully list all the meat products; super considerate ! (Yes, I def did add meat since I knew that was an option 🤗)

I got coworkers that have food restrictions and the Edison Tex Mex had everything for everyone : the vegetarians at my job and they were so grateful about the nachos. I have coworkers that don’t eat pork so they had a lot of...
Read moreCreepy Uncle Dave here. Today I went to the Tex Mex Deli in Edison. The food was amazing! I tried a burrito that was out of this world. Apparently this was a new entry to their already sprawling menu. My boss once told me that if I never step out of my comfort zone and try something new I will never taste success. At the time I was pretty sure the only success I was going to taste was the sweat from my forehead seeing as he wanted me to dig a 200 foot trench by hand. Anyway, this was a shredded chicken burrito stuffed to the hilt with chicken, rice and beans, then smothered with MOLE, MOLE, MOLE sauce. Sorry, if you know you know. My coworker had the birria tacos that looked equally amazing. They must have been good seeing as he didn’t even offer a taste. This isn’t a white tablecloth establishment but the food definitely has potential. I’m sold! I’m definitely coming back and I think you should check this place out too. Tell them I sent...
