Short version: I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of the dishes I selected. The service was decent. The atmosphere was comfortable and well lit.
Long version: I went into the restaurant hungry and excited for some ramen as the other reviews mention how delish they are. I entered a few minutes after their opening time and wasn’t served until 10 mins after being seated. Again, they just opened and I’m the only customer in the entire place. I noticed they have a great amount of seating for such a smaller space but it works. I figured out the menu process on my own due to an experience from another restaurant that I frequent that does the same ordering process. You mark what you want on a sheet of paper with a pen. I ordered spicy edamame, shrimp ramen with bean sprouts, shrimp tempura, and a hot honey green tea. ALL of the flavors, food temperatures, and portions were amazing! There is not one item that I found disappointment in. I even placed a note next to my shrimp ramen to add bean sprouts and forgot to mention that to the server, but they added it without a problem. I can easily say the flavor/food will not be an issue when ordering from here. The service on the other hand may be a bit questionable. As I mentioned earlier, I was alone when I entered a few mins after their opening time and from the time I seated myself to first contact with the server it took a little over 10 mins to be served. I thought that was weird since I was the only customer in the restaurant but luckily I had the newly hit Netflix series, One Piece, to keep me entertained while I waited. When I finally received my food, the service started to pick up as did the customers (only by 2 ppl coming in and a few mobile delivery orders). It was still pretty slow. Between the music and the tv series it was quite comfortable. In its entirety, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and plan to return soon. The food is definitely top notch. Oh! I also ordered 2 flavored iced teas with the yogurt popping boba (5⭐️) and jelly to-go. They both were amazing! Again…a definite return. P. S. They have single stall men and woman restroom that are both handicap accessible. I hope this review helps and please check...
Read moreAt the corner store of the mini mall area, this store is hard to miss. Going inside, there's hand painted wall art all around the sides. Ordering: check in the quantity of items you want from a doubled sided sheet of paper and hand it to the register. After some time they will give you your order while you're allowed to view their decorations. We got the Tonkatsu ramen, steak ramen, skewer sticks: bacon covered quail eggs and chicken/scallion.
Since it was cold outside, we ate at their tables outside as there was no one else to worry about during this pandemic. Tonkatsu: it's good. 2 halves of eggs with the char siu, bamboo, toppings all tastes good . The broth was a bit sweet which was surprising still. The eggs were a tad sweet too, as ramen places have them salty. Steak: this was something different from other stores menu. The steak was good...similar to if it has a genre in music, it's pop music. The combination of toppings, garlic, ginger made the dish good with chewy noodles, but it seemed like something was missing 🤔. The broth wasn't that bad, as it complimented everything in the bowl. Overall this dish was slightly sweet, surprisingly for a steak protein as a main. Doesn't mean its bad. Most places only give 1 half of egg, but this place gave 2! Skewers: the pricing is for 1 skewer each but still good prices. The bacon quail is so good! The quail egg tastes like a tinier version of a creamy egg and the bacon blankets the taste. Chicken and scallion skewer extremely good. The combos sharp taste of sharp onion and garlic and the saucy seasoned chicken is perfect 👌. It's sweet, but nice complimentary rather than the ramen.
They have other things on their menu that looks interesting to order. Curry and other appetizers. But I would definitely come back for their skewers, and maybe fill up on just...
Read moreMy Husband and i have been good customers of Rayaki . With our last visit , we were somewhat surprised at the level of service we were given . We ordered appetizers , which should of been a sign , because the “chicken” bun they served us was mediocre at best . We even had to ask what meat it was that they served us. Trying to enjoy our time there , we let it go and when we got our actual entree’s , it was quite disappointing in how they represented themselves with what they gave to my husband . He ordered the pork belly , and although its a meat that has a high fat to meat ratio , it had no meat whatsoever . Then they tried to mask that problem with an overwhelming amount of sauce . At this point , i let our waitress know . What was that for ? Here comes this abrasive “manager” wearing pajama pants trying to school us on what Pork belly is . Another customer walked past us as we were trying to explain to him that this was not acceptable and she even made a face of how gross the food looked. With that being said , It was very amusing to watch and hear him as he stood there in excitement of the “Power” role he had been given The ‘i dont care attitude’ on him was outrageous , he couldnt even come up with solutions for us. We werent even looking for money off , we just wanted a good meal. He stood there and kept repeating what pork belly was , as if he was stuck on stupid. With the continuance of having him in this role , i see him standing there in an empty room because this restaurant will shut down if he treats customers the way he treated us . Paying customers are what keeps your doors open and your salaries paid. Cant believe we paid for that garbage...
