ALDI — Local services in Edison

TERRIBLE customer service. Several other reviewers commented on a rude cashier, and I'm wondering if I came across the same person. Think her name was Bianca or Brianna? At one point, my mother asked her a simple question and her response was something completely unrelated rather than asking for clarification.

After paying, I began walking out with the cart that I came in with, something that most people do at grocery stores all the time, right? She told me to leave the cart by the register with such attitude. Btw, you need a quarter to retrieve a cart, so why would I leave it behind? I asked "Why, is that something that you do here?" and instead of politely explaining that or even preemptively informing us, she gave me so much sass. This is completely unnecessary and unacceptable customer service.

I then spoke with the manager, Gerri, who didn't do much beside say "ok" to all my comments about the cashier's rudeness. She didn't bother apologizing for her employees behavior or try to resolve the matter. The only reason this review is worth one star, is because she did ask if I needed anything else at the end.

I love shopping here at edison NJ. the cashiers are all courteous. Unfortunately, i was there this morning and asked a lady about the price of the plants. she answered that it’s 13.98 and she immediately said that the price is on the front with an attitude. i looked and usually the price is on the front with big numbers. yea, the price was there and it’s on the pallet at the lowest part of the pallet. i was thinking, alll you have to say is it’s $13.98 and show me, right?! I asked if that lady is their store manager, and the cashier said it’s their SM and her name is Sophia. I’ve been in retail and sales, i learned from working in this kind of business is always show your customers respect and accommodate them without an attitude. This SM is far beyond this and if you want the customers see your prices, make your numbers big. BTW, the price is not $13.98,...

This was my very first time at Aldi’s. A friend recommended me to go. I have never had such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! As I was checking out I put all the frozen things together on the belt, all the veggies, and then all the heavy stuff.

I was prepared to put the frozen things in a freezer bag that I had with me. However the cashier rung things out so fast- just dumping them into my cart. Squishing all the veggies!!! I asked her to slow down as to not damage my products and her response was to you can go bag over there. As she proceeded to throw things into my cart!!!

Absolutely no respect. I have never had such poor customer service!! I don’t think I will ever go back to another aldis if this is how they tread their customers!!!

I visited Friday at 11:48am. I was helped by a younger woman maybe mid 20-30’s.
