Cakes, breads, and other pastries are good. In the past service is great too! Sales ladies are very friendly and always have a smile in their faces. Today Oct 20 around 5pm we were there. We bought macaroons and breads. When I ordered lemon ginger tea. There was this male salesperson who was serving me my tea. I saw him with his point finger dig thru his ears right ear. It was quick so I said to myself "OK" I'm not going to say anything. But when he opened the tea bag the string broke. At first I saw that same finger trying to fix the tea bag with no string stay on the paper cup. I was not going to say something. But the other female server said he could just change the tea bag. So he did. Then while the cup is being filled with hot water. He dig in his right ear again and this time it was a few seconds longer. So, I was not able to control myself anymore. I said, Please don't do that... you wouldn't want me to do that if I'm serving you your drink or food and you're the customer. Your servers should know that if they're working in food service they can't do that, dig through their ears, or any parts of their body without washing their hands to go back to what their suppose to be doing on their job. If somebody from the health department was their customer I'm sure they will be reprimanded. I'm a nurse and I'll be in big trouble if i do that infront of my patients. Please train your employees properly of the right etiquettes, if they want to work in food services. This review is under Mary Luthgard Platon-Sapal not...
Read moreHorrible service as staff lied about putting cake knife in box when I specifically asked for it.
I bought a whole matcha cake 2 days ago to celebrate my wife's and my birthday with my 2 children at a resort. So we needed candles and a cake knife with matches that usually come with the cake. When I picked up cake and specifically asked for the cake knife, female staff told me that it is inside cake box so I did not ask further. At the resort when my family was about to celebrate with the cake close to midnight, we realized there was no cake knife and had to frantically ask resort staff for knife and matches/lighter. Luckily, there was a knife and we found someone who lent us a lighter. Else, our birthday celebration would have been ruined.
I would have given zero stars for service if I can. Don't trust that female staff who lied about cake knife. Ask to see the knife so as not to ruin birthday celebrations. Unnecessary to go through the hassles. Tous Les Jours cakes are priced at a premium and basic service can be expected but not what I had just experienced.
Matcha cake was full of cream, so we tasted more cream than cake. While cake decorations look nice, will appreciate tasting more cake and...
Read moreTHE CURRY AND KINCHI BUNS ARE THE BEST ITEMS i HAVE EVERY ORDERED!!!
I've been to Paris Baguette next door and their curry is nowhere near as flavorful as this place. The bread of the buns are not too thick but also not too thing. You can smell the curry and seasoning they put in. The kimchi buns are insane I bit into it and it was crispy at first, but when your teeth go further it is soft, has flavor, and then sinks into spicy-ish kimchi. I immediately placed the bun a distance away so I could collect myself. I thought it would taste like PB next door but these are different. I also went to the one in Lotte Market and these are very top tier.
I had to buy all of them so I'm sorry to anyone that wanted one that day. Bless the chef! Thank you. The curry and kimchi were sooooo good! How do you get the outside crispy, the inner layer, soft, and then the inside warm and delicious? I've been in H mart since 2013 and glad I finally...
