Had a very bad experience while trying the Boom Boom Chicken in Edison, near the H Market.
They have two ways to take orders, Kiosk or through a person. There is a big sign indicating to go to the kiosk. So, we placed our order for a special. Popcorn chicken & Fries. We sat down, waited about 30 minutes.. 45 minutes.. nothing. My husband went up and asked, where our food has been, the worker checked the bags of online orders, for our food, then quickly put our food onto paper plates.
First off, they got my husbands order right. Chicken thighs, fries. However, I ordered the popcorn chicken and fries. We both ordered mild spice.
I didn’t say anything at first, but my husband noticed I was eating, he then realized what had happened and went up to the counter. The lady working, gave me the most EVIL look when I had glanced up at her. I felt horrible for no reason. I was mistakenly given thighs instead of popcorn chicken, I didn’t cause a scene, I didn’t complain; all my husband did was ask for the popcorn chicken.
The lady then expressed that it was my husband’s fault for ordering on the kiosk, because they don’t ’Read The Notes’ that you have the option of leaving on the kiosk. I was in shambles.
As I had mentioned earlier, we chose Mild seasoning.
Guys, when I received the popcorn chicken, it was smothered, dripping, and sloppy with red, hot spicy sauce. Keep in mind, I know this is Korean Chicken, but when a customer asks for mild and you give them THAT. It’s crazy.
They must’ve had a bad day, or thought that I was trying to be a bad customer, but truly, this place was a bad experience for me.
I felt singled out, I felt like prey being stalked in the wild, I felt bad.
I truly hope no one else has to experience anything remotely close to what I endured here with my husband.
Love...

Scam Scam chicken is what I call it now. Went in and ordered drums and wings combo large. On the menu it specifically said there would be 16 to 18 pieces (amount varies depending on size of chicken). However, we only got 13 pieces. Out of the 13, only two were small tiny wings and the rest were drums. There were 6 medium, large drums and the rest were small. I realize that they said amount would vary but the sizes we got were ridiculous for only getting 13 pieces. For 29 dollars this is a RIP OFF. Also, we ordered a large size combo, and they only gave us one small size radish. I don't know if the owner changed, but they used to go strictly by the amount listed on the menu and would give you a large portion of radish or two small sizes of radish if you ordered large combo.
Old review:
This place has tasty chickens, but got more expensive recently. I understand that inflation caused prices to go up, but it went up by dollars while other stores went by like 50 cents. I realize the chicken also got smaller compared to what they used to give. It's understandable during this kind of time but it really was a great spot...
Read moreI placed an order for a small Mixed Wings and Drumstick. They give you an option for a side of sweet and sour radish or white rice. I opted for the half and half wings which was half spicy and have mild with a side of white rice through Uber Eats. It arrived really quickly. The packaging looked intact, upon opening the box, the first thing I realized were the drumsticks were very huge! 3x the size of any Korean style wings I have had any place else or any wings I have had which made it impossible to get it crispy because of how big they were. After taking my first bite I also realize it wasn’t as flavorful and not spicy at all. The mild wings were very plain with no flavor and the spicy didn’t even taste mild. The rice was very sticky and had no flavor either and both the wings and rice were very cold for an order that arrived pretty fast. Total failed. The lady I spoke with over the phone was very nice though. I personally won’t...
