Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Edmond

The best Kolache's in town, this donut shop is also my wife's favorite place to go for donuts. Their cake donuts are delicious and they carry flavors other locations don't carry such as Strawberry Cake and Apple Spice Cake. My wife partially likes that they do not over frost the cake donuts. The donut holes however are a different story and are heavily coated in sugar and seem to be more bread like and don't melt in your mouth as easily as holes from other locations. Extremely dirty, the moment you walked in the store, the carpet is so nasty and the display is all looks dirty. Store looks like a storage unit with everything pile up and the owner don't even understand basic English. There is some black goo came out from the drinking machine and I went ahead and show it to them and all they did is just pour my drink away and refill it back up again.

Stay away from this store unless you like eating cockroaches and food with bug spray beside them and drink from water fountain or coffee pot that seems never wash...

Daylight Donuts has been a staple in Edmond for several decades. They have a handful of branches around town including this location on South Kelly Avenue. They open 4.30am to 12pm, perfect for early risers. There are a few tables inside but most do take-away.

You'll find a nice range of traditional donuts. I like their apple fritter and picked one up from this branch recently. Its good size for morning bite, soft, sweet, good apple and cinnamon flavour and goes well with a decent coffee. Worth a try if in Edmond and fancying a...
