China Express — Restaurant in Edmond

I am a huge chinese food snob. I have tried everything near, and far. This place is by far, the best. They cook your food when you order. You get huge portions, for an excellent price. I'm not sure why they don't get 5 stars. Yes it can get greasy, most is. I try other places, and always end back at this one. They don't speak English well, just be patient, and they will get it right. I have not found a person yet, who doesn't like this place, and can finish their meal in one sitting. I have a friend that comes from Midwest city to eat this. Friends come from out of state, and this is our first stop. They never seem to be crowded. It amazes me. We always get ours to go, drive 20min home, and still fresh. They have the best eggrolls in the state. My only wish, would be they serve crab Rangoon. I usually get the sesame ckn with sauce on the side, garlic fried chicken, beef and broccoli, ckn low mein and my daughter always has to get the egg drop soup. We also like the ham fried rice, and ckn chow me in with noodles on the side. Do yourself a favor, go through the drive thru, take it home, enjoy it, and have enough for lunch...

My wife's favorite Chinese restaurant in Edmond. This family owned restaurant has been in business for possibly around 30 years but have been at their current location for 20 years. The family is extremely nice and always greet us with smiles as soon as we arrive. They have a drive through and a lobby for dining in. Their lobby is clean and their public bathrooms are also clean. My wife's favorite is the Hawaiian chicken (R7) and the Egg Drop Soup. I personally greatly enjoyed their Sesame Pork (R20) which is listed as spicy but has a low spice level which I prefer. I'd also recommend their Sweet & Sour Pork, I usually request the sauce on the side but the dish is normally served with the sauce already applied. Price wise their pricing is very reasonable and affordable. This place is never busy so you never have to worry about long drive through lines or long waits to get your food and can dine in comfortably without having to worry about a loud or crowded...

I do a lot of restaurant reviews. I’m always willing to try something new. I was very happy with the food here and the service was outstanding. At first coming into the restaurant I noticed dirty carpet and no one else in the restaurant at 6 PM but I assumed it’s mostly a takeout place so that did not bother me. It’s interesting because there is a recliner sitting in the middle of the dining room. That made me curious to know why, then I realized what was going on. There’s an elderly couple running this restaurant. They have one man helping them serve. They both were super friendly to me, and as a solo diner that felt very warm and friendly. I will support them, as often as I can because we should care about our elders. They are making a living just like the rest of us and they are good at what they do.
