Wow! FINALLY a good sandwich shop in Edmond! (We've been tired of driving to Harvey Bakery for a good sandwich or settling for less than mediocre chain sandwiches.) As a family of 5, we tried: Dr. Pepper Short Rib, Smoky Turkey, Taylor ham/egg/cheese (for our 8 year old) and 2 toasty pb&j's for our 4 year old and 1.5 year old. Everything was excellent. I devoured my smoky turkey - it was so good and filling. The littles had no trouble finishing their pb&j. The triple berry jam was quite tasty. My 8 year old loved the Taylor and ate it all. (When you're paying for an adult priced sandwich, this is a win/bonus.) My husband enjoyed the Dr. Pepper short rib and had nothing bad to say about it. I do think he'll venture on and try others next time though. Each sandwich comes with homemade chips with your choice of seasoning. We also tried the deviled eggs which were very good, and we would get again on an extra hungry day. I had one and let me son eat my other because I was too full after my sandwich to finish it. Cookies and fried pies looked really good, but we were too full to try. My only "critiques" - they serve the sandwiches on really large metal plates/platters. These were cumbersome for my kids. We were also in the middle of the post-church lunch crowd with larger groups. Seating was limited at times, and it would have been easier for everyone to squeeze in without these massive plates. (I saw a family of 4 squeeze around a 3 sided table.) The warmth of the "toasty" pb&j makes it especially messy for young kids. Not sure what one does about that though as the toasty-ness gives it a little something special but also makes it extra gooey. We were wetting a lot of napkins to clean the kids up. The water jug needs to be bigger or located on the soda fountain. They ran out of water twice while we were there. And lastly, I wish there was little bit more seasoning on the chips. Some were seasoned just right, while more of them had little to no seasoning on them. Again, very minor things. Overall, 5+ stars out of 5! I absolutely can't...
Read moreI stopped in for a quick sandwich yesterday for the 1st time ever. I'm from Florida and I saw a cuban sandwich on there menu.i have not have very great ones in good ole oklahoma. It's a family restaurant and I'm assuming there son was running the til. He was very polite and it's great to see kids these days learning work ethic early in life. He even suggested he may need to fill there galls water container if it was low! Let me tell you about this sandwich though! Definitely the best oklahoma cuban I've ever had ! Shaved pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, pickles ( even though I'm weird and take them off I love the flavor) the got slightly backed up and I had to change my order Togo. They threw in a free cookie for the wait and we're very polite and accommodating. I will definitely be back. If your looking for a spot to try this is your sign to...
Read moreDecent sized shop, good menu selection, lady at the front was incredibly nice, food presentation looks good, but that's about where it ends.
Came for lunch, waited a little longer than what was probably intended, from listening and a couple of observations some customers orders were wrong. Got myself a Cuban which looked great and had all the correct ingredients but tasted fairly flat. Bland isn't the best word but some flavors (dijon mustard?) were conflicting with each other and the overall taste of the sandwich just wasn't there, i would imagine their other sandwiches are much better.
Homemade potato chips were nice got the ranch flavoring but didn't really taste much of that. Good texture on the chips though.
Considering the price, portion, and wait. I myself won't be back but I can see why people would...
