I've eaten at other locations in the past and they were pretty good. This one is new. The good: our server was a super nice guy and as attentive as he could be. They appeared to be understaffed and he never stopped moving. It took a while to place our order then to get our food but that wasn't on him. The place was clean with a nice open feel. The water was good. I know that's a little weird to say but the taste of water at eateries isn't really something to take for granted anymore. The bad: all of our food smelled weird, like bad grease, and had an off taste. I got the traditional breakfast, 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrown balls (don't remember what they call them) and sourdough toast. The eggs were already salted and peppered and there was a lot. Fortunately I like salt and pepper so the eggs were all I ate. My bacon was barely cooked. I did mention this to our server and he replaced it for me with really crispy bacon but it had that weird smell and tasted gross. The toast was about 2 inches round and about an inch thick and smelled really bad. The hashbrowns might have had good flavor if you could get past the bad grease smell. My buddy had biscuits and gravy and didn't care for it. Said the biscuit was dry and there wasnt enough gravy. He ordered his eggs over medium but they were barely over easy. His comment was "they snotted my eggs" My breakfast was $13 and my buddy's b&g was $12. Neither of us ate even half of our food. 2 stars is because our...
Read moreFirst and last time at Hatch today. Came in around 1:30 PM with my wife, two year old daughter & two week old son to hydrate and enjoy some lunch on this 100 degree day (truck showing 110 degrees). After arriving at our table and ordering, our waters never arrived. I had to ask politely multiple times what the hold up was. We waited 20 plus minutes for something to drink. Once the staff finally decided to act just minutes before our food was to arrive at the table from ordering nearly half hour prior, I made up my mind. So I did what any sane father and patron would do - packed up my little family, got the food to go, and paid the tab with zero tip. For my wife and kids to sit there red-faced and thirsty for over 20 minutes, we weren't about to then stick around. The food wasnt great either. The portions are absolutely insanely small. My daughter's kids waffle and sausage was a joke. Maybe they packed our food up too quickly, but presentation upon opening it at home was laughable. This was a far waste of $61. Oh and they charged us for two teas we didn't even receive. Also, what is up with the upgrades to Large on the drinks? We didn't realize there were different sizes. Additionally, 3.75 for coffee is crazy, as is 4.50 for unsweet tea (again we were charged for two we never received). Be weary of places like this who take advantage of...
Read moreWe wanted to love it and have the same experience as Chisholm Creek Hatch. I’ve eaten there 20-30 times with no complaints and always ready for my next visit. We’ve been to Edmond I-35 Hatch twice now. Once we dined outside on a weekday and it was pleasant and enjoyable. Today however was a different story. Our waiter was less than friendly, informative or willing to serve. There was a fly in one of our water cups, we were missing serval items from a few meals, no syrup was brought with pancakes, a burger was brought cold/raw (and deducted from the bill upon request), a full order of tumblers was charged instead of served as a side - as typical with the plate ordered, onions were not removed from a dish in which it was requested, and our bar drinks and iced coffees were ordered prior to the meal but served after our plates were removed from the table at the end of our meal(s) that could be eaten. All of those things together left our group of 5 disappointed to say the least. I can’t say I’ll wait 80 min...
