My husband and I visited this Arby’s on 7/09/2021 at 10pm an hour before close, and was treated very poorly. We were ignored at the drive thru speaker and then blatantly ignored when we pulled forward to speak with someone at the pay window. I mouthed “are you all closed?”, twice and was stared at by 3 employees. They refused to acknowledge or open the window to greet us and all stood around for an unacceptable amount of time and ignored us until the female employee working the drive thru finally opened the window with an unpleasant and unfriendly, stale facial expression and tone, and said “may I help you!?” My husband was appalled by her approach but calmly carried on to explain how no one was operating the drive thru speaker which her response was “Okay.......?” My husband proceeded on, and again asked if they were open for business which the employee responded yes. My husband informed her that we would be returning back around to place our orders as the employee spoke over him in the middle of talking, and said “sure, sureee...” while closing the window on us. This young lady and the night staff at this location are very rude and do not value the importance of customer service. However the so called manager John told me I needed to go back thru the full drive-thru to wait another 25 min. to receive the sandwhich they forgot to put in the bag. I called back as I continued to wait to reiterate that this was their fault and John was increasingly rude. Ive NEVER experienced a response like he gave me in my entire life. Like SO rude, Im really wondering how he even works in a place of public. Theres a thousand ways he could have handled the situation better, however chose to act like he did to a customer. Read moreI’m accustomed to getting great food at Arby’s. That was NOT MY Experience today at the Effingham Illinois Arby’s restaurant. I ordered a Reuben sandwich though the drive through on December 20 between 8:00 PM and 9:00PM. When I left the restaurant and got to my hotel I discovered that the Reuben sandwich contained less than half of the typical amount of corned beef of an Arby’s Reuben sandwich, there was essentially no sauerkraut, and the cheese looked unlike anything I’ve seen on an Arby’s Reuben sandwich. The bread was decent, but soaked in sauce. Since I didn’t care to take the time to leave my hotel and return the not-so-hot mess of a sandwich I ate the thing and literally swallowed my losses.
