So my experience with this place was very pleasurable. I called another place to order a big dinner for my family and they fortunately didnt answer. I say fortunately because if they had answered, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to try this place. My sister works for Uber and said to call here instead, cause her car fills up with a great smell f4om the food everytime she picks up from here. So I called and talked to Siran. A wonderful, patient, and pleasant voice. I called to ask about the pizza sizes and she answered my questions and let me know about the special they had. She made it interesting because it included the pizza size 28 inch I wanted so I ordered the special, added side wings, 2 greek salads, calamari and a Pepsi. Well, it wasnt a surprise of how good it was because my car filled up with the great smell and both my Dad and I couldn't wait to get home to eat. My family enjoyed everything and finished everything. My brother and his girlfriend came over and he used to work at Italian restaurants as a chef and he said the pizza was not greasy and the salad was perfectly made. I got to say that is not the last time I order from here. I included the pictures of what we ordered so you can see for yourself that it looks appetizing and that's why we finished it all. So if you are looking for a great tasting Italian take-out, order from here. The employee named Samuel even carried the giant pizza to my car even though my Dad was with me. He put it carefully into the back of my suv. Really, the service can't get...
Read moreBotani Breakfast and Pizzeria has moved a couple of buildings down from their previous location to 693 Jamacha Rd, in El Cajon, 92019 for a larger space.
Not only do they offer a larger dining area and kitchen, they now offer a delicious Turkish breakfast, in addition to the pizzeria. For breakfast, I had a Turkish Coffee, Shakshuska or eggs, kofta & tomatoes, Lahmacun, and house freshly baked bread, similar to a pita, but much thicker and with sesame seeds.
The Lahmacun, similar to baked flat bread with minced meat with herb and spices, and a touch of veggies. The flat bread was thin and soft, not to mention delicious. You can have it sliced or as a whole, the traditional way, so that you can tear pieces off to eat.
The menemen which is similar to shakshuska or as they call it here, "Egg, Kofta, & Tomatoes" was delicious. It came with house made beef kofta, a delicious tomato puree, eggs, and a variety of Turkish herb and spices. It was great. The kofta beef patties were very tasty and tender. The eggs were fluffy and soft and the tomatoes quite tasty. It was great eating with the Turkish bread that they bake in house.
The Turkish coffee was very well made. It was smooth and rich and offered a great strong coffee flavor. The service was very good. The people here are very polite...
Read moreIf you’re craving a truly authentic Iraqi breakfast, Botani Rest is absolutely the place to be! From the moment you walk in, the warm aromas and welcoming staff set the tone for something special.
The breakfast spread here is nothing short of magnificent. They serve up a variety of Iraqi and regional classics, but what really stole my heart were their Manakesh cheese and Lahmajeen. The manakesh was perfectly crisp on the edges, soft in the middle, with creamy cheese melted just right. And the lahmajeen, spiced meat topping married beautifully with the thin, chewy dough.
The staff and the owner, Haitham, were super kind and attentive, always ready with a smile and full of pride in their cuisine. You can see they genuinely love sharing their heritage through every dish. Thank you Haitham for the great place to experience a typical excellent...
