I placed an order around 9:40pm on 11/23/22, headed to the store, was able to select the "I'm already here" option as I was pulling in the driveway, able to select that I would pick up at the drive-thru, and even received a code to pick up my food. Then, noticed that the drive-thru was blocked off, so I parked and tried the door - locked. It was now 9:59pm. I pulled up the number to call the store and THEN saw that the store closes at 10pm. Nobody answered the store phone when I called. I had to check my account to make sure I wasn't charged for an order that I wouldn't be able to receive and then find somewhere else to go for dinner and start all over. It would be awesome if the app would advise you that the location is closing soon and not allow you to proceed with an order that it KNOWS won't be fulfilled. Additionally, if the order was cancelled manually by an employee, they should be required to call the customer and let them know the order was placed too late and they will not be able to complete the order, so customers don't waste their time heading to the store. This was a terrible experience, but to make it worse, I filed a complaint about it both against the app and against the store, and specifically requested to be contacted with a follow up by the store but (SHOCKING) they store never reached out to...
Read moreDrive-Thru staff could use some customer service training. Order and payment went great at first window. Pick-up window not so great. Was handed my drink but it overflow on the outside. Politely asked for a napkin to wipe it off before I placed it in my wife's Lexus. "Sidel" (according to the receipt) stated "There are napkins in the bag". Politely told her I needed a napkin to wipe the soda off the outside of the cup. Again I was told 'There are napkins in the bag". After the fourth or fifth time I was ready to put my car in park, turn on my cell phone cam and have a conversation with the manager. I politely but firmly said "Really!?" at which time she smugly handed me a stack of napkins when all i needed was one. Other venues like Burger King, Jack-In-The-Box and Wendy's are more than happy to make sure the cup is clean BEFORE they hand it to you. If it was overlooked they politely and quickly grab a towel kept close by or a napkin to wipe it off without a complaint. Only one other car behind me that just pulled in. Read moreMy fiance and i went to the alpine location and of course the drive thru . Our dog daisy was with us as well. When we arrived at the 1st window to pay the cashier was so happy to see daisy sticking her head out of the back window and was complimentary about jow cute she is and asked if she could give her a treat . We had no idea what mind of treat she meant or was going to give . We were delighted and blown away by the dog biscuit she gave to daisy . And Daisy was too. My fiance kept saying as we pulled into the 2nd window how cool that was and what an amazing touch. After we were handed our food the guy asked if he could give our dog a treat and of course we said yes and my fiance and i were blown away again ! He had his own stash of dog biscuits to give her ! What an excellent and clever and Unique way to give good service and bring joy into ones day. I dont know how many people have their dogs with them as they go thru the drive thru of mcdonalds and i never gave it a thought before . Daisy just happened to be with us . That was a really nice touch. Good job...
