The Coffee Bar at Foothills Church — Restaurant in El Cajon

Service and atmosphere here are phenomenal! I love coming here to get some work done and everyone I’ve encountered here is very friendly and kind. The room is beautifully decorated and clean with nice bathrooms.

The food I’ve tried so far here is pretty good, I especially like their avocado toast and turkey panini sandwich. I’ve also liked all the lattes I’ve tried here and their cold brew is really good.

Just a few thing I personally would see as an improvement: I’d like to see local organic coffee bean options here. I’m not sure the type of coffee they use here, so if they had different varieties that would be awesome! More smoothie options would be great, though I do understand this isn’t a juice bar (but I wish it was!!)

Common Grounds has become one of my favorite places to come to! Over the years they have grown tremendously in creating a warm and welcoming environment to dine in, creating excellence in their craft of food and drinks, and creating a friendly experience with their staff. I love that I can go and enjoy the space inside as I work or sit with friends, or I can bring my kids and there is space for them to play outside on the playground. Coffee is as good if not better than Starbucks. They have a variety of pastries with several homemade options and are open Sunday during church and Monday- Friday.
