On September 12, 2023, I stopped by Grandstand Pizza after work, so about 3:15 pm, I found out that my friend no longer owns the business and it is under new owners and under new management. I placed my order of a 14 inch pizza with 1 topping for $9.99. I ordered beef, I was informed they don't have beef as an option, I said you guys used to offer beef as a topping, the younger cashier said that they stopped offering it due to lack of requests for the beef topping, so I ordered the pizza with red onions. After I ordered I sat down and grabbed a small stack of a few months old complimentary Free Reader magazines that were there for customers read and enjoy while waiting for their order. As I flipped threw a few magazines, one of the older staff members with curly gray hair starts angrily yelling at me, asking me what was I doing. I told him I was looking through the stack to look for a issue that I have not seen before. He said to put them back and that they were not there only for me but for other customers to enjoy also. I told him that I understood and will put them back after I go thru the small stack of about 7 or 8 issues. I was the only customer in the pizza joint. I put them back. As I went thriugh them all, I told him they were all old issues and I had already seen them and placed them all back where they were. I asked him why was he getting upset at me, we argued for a bit and I told him that I was a customer and that the free magazines were serving it's purpose. This staff member was totally out of line and should not be in contact with the public customers. He kept badgering me until I picked up my order and left. I hope no one else experience this what I went through. The food is ok, not my first time there. The service was average. But the atmosphere was so lousy. I really did not enjoy my pizza after this experience. That older staff member with gray curly hair was so, so, so RUDE. Unless you want to be insulted, stay away from this place. It used to be a good place to go to with the previous owner, but with this new owner and new management, this place sucks. DO...
Read moreI came across grandstand pizza and took my chances . I had my pizza delivered while I was at work and the guy over the phone ( didn't catch his name ) was really patient and sweet when he took my order and I've been savoring since then until today . The woman who picked up the phone after being put on hold was just so rude and not friendly . When I was on the phone I asked her if I could order a specialty pizza although I had a coupon . ( IF i knew I could have used it I would have never asked , but because I figured it is a specialty pizza they wouldn't be included in that promotion I just thought I ask ) She never answered my question with a yes or no , she just argued about how she needs the coupon because they dont have one for 20.99 but said they have one for 22.99 but the 22.99 one included those cheese sticks that I didn't want and wanted the soda instead for 20.99 . The whole conversation was awkward almost as if she just didn't even want to take the order . Anywho , I asked her if she could throw in more flyers since I was at work (80 room hotel) and the flyer that they needed was the last and only one and they had to have it because I'm going to be lying for 2$ when the first time I was never even asked for the flyer to begin with(sarcasm) . The guy who delivered the pizza was just like " if you need coupons down load them online " that's not the point though, It's for the guests including myself and coworkers BUt oh okay cool . I will also tell my guests that. Because that's what you tell guests " go online " . I know the owner has very different values and is very friendly but it's crazy to see what staff does when the owner is gone :( Pizza was great though . :)
I was never given the difference or my receipt ? I checked online on a tax converter at 8.50% and my total came out to 22.77 but the guy said my total was 25 with some change and still have him tip gave him a total of 28$ so where is the difference ?? I will...
Read moreNormally I love Grand Stand Pizza on Magnolia, but last night I had a super embarrassing and illegal experience. And will definitely not be ordering or coming back. I was out and had my fully trained service dog Smash with me. The guy comes out from the back and points to a no pets sign. I politely say he’s a service dog not a pet and I have disabilities that he helps mitigate. I shouldn’t have to air this out but have a joint/connective tissue condition and he helps me with my mobility on days I need extra help as well as my anxiety in which he is able to keep me grounded, lead me to exits or take me back to my car if I get overwhelmed or perform DPT if I’m having a panic attack. He also alerts to my blood pressure since that has been an issue off and on my whole life. He then tells me he’s just following the sign. And I explained to him it was illegal to deny access to a service dog. And he just didn’t care I guess? If my disabilities were able to be seen would he have asked me to leave? Per the ADA or Americans with disabilities act service dogs are allowed an any public place that I would be allowed just like other medical equipment like canes and wheelchairs. Would I have been denied if I was in...
