this is the Fremont CA. location, seemingly still having patronize issues. the night I was there, I had Two 29" pieces of luggage and a 20" carry on with me as I was actually moving to another city in a few hours, unfortunately this turned out to be a Murphy's law night, everything that could go wrong went wrong this night including me being able to gain lodging, or getting a hold of a cab or a Lyft/Uber ride. I was dining alone, A lady walked up to my table and said to me in a very loud voice "what's with the luggage" and before I could respond she told me I couldn't stay all night there, went on to say a few other nasty remarks, at first I was going to explain but the more she stood there ranting at me the more embarrassed and angry I became, so I thought it best not to say anything, she then snatched up my plate even though I'd not finished it, and asked one of her waitresses, who'd waited my table, found out who it was, told him still in a loud voice to give me my check so I could pay and get out. when he came I asked him who she was he told me her first name, then she announces "I'm the owner, you want my last name too" I never said one word during that entire episode, I simply left, seething and humiliated inside. I also might add that even though I was seated within a reasonable amount of time, the time it took between being seated and me giving my order, was well over an hour, I exaggerate not, it was not that they were super busy either, the restaurant seemed to have more staffers than diners, put simply I was ignored. after I was served, my waiter never approached me again. I also might add that on another occasion perhaps a week earlier something similar happened to me at the very same restaurant, no luggage this time. only in this case I was not offered seating for close to 45 minutes or more, until another customer told the waiter that I was there before them, then that same waiter ignored me completely, even seating a couple next to me, taking their order then serving them. finally I asked a waitress who was the waiter for my table, she told me, turns out it was the same waiter who'd seated me, I even heard her tell him I was ready to order, don't know what happened there but the waitress ended up taking my order and serving me, though I wasn't her table, my waiter never came near me, I was probably there well over 3 hours, and I vowed then I'd never go back, had not events took a bad turn, I would not have ever visited there again, because now I know for sure, there was something very wrong at this restaurant, if I could give minus stars I would, the one star given is...
Read moreOMG, no avoid this location at all cost. We went in on 2/10/2024 and it was near empty but that didn't stop them from having NO customer service and NO properly cooked food. They had a nice older lady that was clearing tables help the waitress who was supposed to take out order but didn't. Sweetest elderly lady too. gave us our drinks and then another girl came to get our orders because as she said, our waitress was busy. really. ok. Then the elder worker stopped by our table to say bye and too enjoy our meal when it comes as she clocked out...but then she got called back in the kitchen as the waitress asked her to serve another table drinks for her, wow. poor lady holding the fort there. When we placed our orders my man asked for his hashbrowns to not be cooked overdone but lightly browned so they are soft not crispy. She said ok no problem. Then we waited. and waited, and waited. maybe its my order of crepes that may be taking them long? after all a party of 2 was seated after us, their orders taken and they were served before us, then we saw a kitchen staff walk out to the drink area and he was wearing black crocs! ok, health and safety violation but its not my feet so I didn't care. then went to the bathroom and saw a female employee eating lunch in the back table by the restroom with a kitchen worker clearly taking a moment to flirt with her...smh kids is what i chalked that up too, went to table still waiting for food. When the food finally got there, my mans hashbrowns were near charred! We immediately told her no, this whole ordeal is just ridiculous and walked out. Dennys at this location...where the hell is your management? Get it together. I will be letting the executive team know and the board of directors. Read moreI came in El Cerrito Denny’s with my family I came from Florida to my family Reunion meeting we came in DENNYS EL CERRITO on Saturday around 10 AM we are 18 people when we park our car in parking and parking was really packed we said oh no maybe it’s a long time to get the service But when we came in and it was really packed and Resturant was really good looking smells really good really clean it was really packed and a lot of people was waiting and manager was writing the name and he was really kind and nice but it is a really good thing he’s really well managed all rush hour and put all the customer in the different section of the restaurant and he provide us a big table but we were 18 and the table was only 10 people can sit on the table but he manages for the separate other table on the middle and they serve us really fast we was really impressed and surprised how fast they was taking care of their customers and food was on time and food presentation was really good plates are really clean because I also related to food industry I have a a lot of restaurants also I was wishing why I don’t have this talented manager to manage the restaurant taking care of the business I was really surprised and definitely I’m going to arrange the meeting to my restaurant managers I’m going to give the example of this restaurant how the manager was managing the restaurant and they have a separate meeting room and they were using this one also when I’m coming again in California we are going to the el cerrito DENNYS but my some family member always comes in this location because they live nearby and they always get the good service and food if this is corporate DENNYS please I am requesting the CEO please keep good taking care of this manager his...
