Yammy Sushi — Restaurant in El Cerrito

This restaurant was kind of dirty. You could tell it was worn. With that said I ordered 2 rolls and a salad. I enjoy the size of the roll. Sometimes they are way to big. I felt like the crab was warm..like it hadn't been refrigerated for a few hours. Very warm. The service wasn't very good either. Walked in to eat there and was served after the lady that walked in after me for a non ready made to go order. With all the sushi within a mile of this restaurant..I'd pick another one. Nothing special....

If your looking for good fresh fish this isn't the place. I'm totally fine with eating mediocre sushi but this was unacceptable. the sashimi was grainy and dry....had to send the food back. Ordered the chicken teriyaki ( impossible to mess up) and it was RE-heated in the microwave, usually when you order chicken teriyaki it has grill marks....this however was chewy and unpleasant . Maybe it was because it was a lunch special but that doesn't mean prepare in microwave....never going...

This is a perfect little sushi spot. The last time I was in El cerrito I went to a very expensive place and couldn't believe it. The quality of sushi was just basic. It was so expensive too.

With Yammy Sushi you get exactly what you expect. Good service, good food. Clean environment. Mostly fair prices. But unlike that expensive place I went to before all of these roles were good. Every single one. And that super duper crunchy roll is pretty insane!! Definitely...
