The bread itself was actually pretty good, but the oil it was served with was bland and overly oily. The dried herbs didn’t add much flavor. Honestly, the bread stood out better on its own.
The use of jarred garlic felt like a shortcut that really affected the flavor of a few dishes. Fresh garlic would make a big difference.
The pasta seemed to be dried, which was a little disappointing. Fresh pasta would completely change the quality of the meal. I’d even love to come in and make some for them if they’d be open to it!
The pizza with Alfredo sauce was also a bit underwhelming. The sauce was bland, and the crust seemed to be pre-made. Fresh or even thaw-and-proof dough would elevate it a lot. Same goes for the fried mushrooms. They tasted like they came from a bag rather than being freshly battered and fried.
The atmosphere itself feels a little dated, but the chairs and seating were comfortable and look nice.
Overall, there’s potential here, a few simple changes with fresher ingredients and more house-made touches could really take this place to...
Read moreGreat service here. Everyone is really friendly. They are offering dine in. Could be great authentic Italian food but I feel like they take too many short cuts to save a dollar. I understand it is difficult right now with covid and they are not usually busy as it is. The owners are authentic Italians I do believe but again due to trying to save money the food is just okay. We have had several pasta dishes. Been here 3 times. I ordered red clam linguini once and it was full of canned clams. Again it could have been great if it had 5 fresh clams in it instead of a cup of canned clams. The chicken in the pasta has a strange texture like it has been cooked, frozen and defrosted. The flavor is still good. The gorgonzola pasta tasted like lean cuisine primavera to me. The best thing we have had is the marsala. It was really good. The shrimp scampi was garlicky and good also. The hot rolls are great too. We want to go back to...
Read moreWent there on a Saturday evening and ordered the special from the board, a seafood stuffed pasta and a salad. I got a small dish with two pasta tubes stuffed with cheese and a couple of pieces of imitation crab. I searched through the mixture for seafood but only discovered a couple of little pieces of what I think were scallops. My wife had the chicken marsala which I am positive had no marsala at all. It has cubed chunks of chicken straight from a bag. The bread was just bagged dinner rolls from Wal-Mart. For fifty dollars we definitely expected more. To the owner, this area is ready to grow, get it together and grow with it. This was definitely not what we...
