House of Wylie Coffee Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in El Dorado

We dined in early afternoon on the terrace on a warm and sunny early spring day. It was a very relaxing and satisfying place to have a lunch. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere with friendly and accomodating staff but the food is unspectacular—at least the choices we had. Our meal included an Italian panini and a muffuletta. The sandwiches were not bad but just lacked any pizzaz. The beer was rather tepid, but some people prefer it that way. If possible, I'd give this place three-and-a-half stars but with a benefit of a doubt...

The food was good. I had tamales and they were tasty, spiced just right. The chips were nothing special, just thick, round corn type chips.

The interior was decorated nicely and I really enjoyed the view to the outside courtyard.

Very friendly proprietors. But they need to offer more than two cheap wines. I got the twice baked BBQ potato which was just ok.
