Will not be staying there again. The amount I paid for a room for one night was not at all upheld by the experience. Soon as I walked in there was a smell. I couldn't pinpoint what the smell was, but if you have a sensitive nose it will definitely feel attacked. It gives the facade of being a nice place to stay, but walking into my room there was another smell. It was noticeable enough to normal people, because my family (who I was visiting) noticed it right away when they came in. Get this...$180 per night to close my blinds and find brown packing tape holding it together. The lining under the bed was falling down, and the bathroom faucet seemed to leak. That night some drunk person puked right infront of the main doors, and I know that's not the hotel's fault. However, the "wash away" of the vomit still left it right there. So, the remainder of the night in and out you had to watch your step even into the morning when checking out. To top it off, I had to checkout at 4am which I understand is early. Despite rolling my bag and saying hello a few times I had to go to the door of the office to wake someone up so I could leave. Needless to say, that was a hefty waste of money. I felt very stupid for booking this hotel when I could have just slept in my car for the 4.5 hours. Now I know, and hope this review saves someone money in the future....
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at the Haywood Hilton in El Dorado,, Arkansas a couple of weeks ago and I would like four employees to be recognized as some of the best! From speaking to Brittany on the phone for reservations to actually being checked in by her on the day of arrival! She was so welcoming, pleasant and accommodating! I’ve stayed at many hotels over my 50 years of traveling and the young lady, Philea working the night shift was just as lovely and astute as Brittany! Ms Billy attending to the breakfast was a carbon copy of the other two mentioned! The young lady who cleaned my room was the best! I did not get her name, but I stayed in 420 and my daughter and fiancé had the suite a door down from mine! Their comments were the same as mine! It was spotless and very nice! The shower was huge with large shower head and so clean! It’s always nice to walk into a room and see nice flooring instead of carpet! The bed was as close to being luxurious as can be! I was wishing that I had a valid reason for staying longer! Kudos to the Manager for hiring excellent employees and the Hilton Properties! Ive always said you can’t go wrong booking with them! For such a very small town, such as El Dorado, I was pleasantly surprised that they still maintained the quality of what we travelers have come to expect of a...
Read moreWhat a beautiful place! The decor is nice, the staff is outstanding, and the room has some of the best lighting and furnishings I've ever seen in a room - the large couch allowed me and my husband both to sit comfortably to eat our take out dinner and watch TV! The shutters on the window made me feel like I was a guest in a home - really nice touch. The keurig coffee maker in the room made a HOT cup. The bed was comfortable and king pillows plush. There wasn't an outlet on one side of the bed, but the USB ports in the clock made up for the oversight. It was nice having the desk workspace, a microwave and a mini fridge. The four common areas included a breakfast area, a bar (offering festive holiday happy hour specials), a "living room," with a fireplace, comfy seating, and gigantic TV, and the outdoor patio with a small pool and fireplace. My only complaint: the soundproofing is woefully inadequate, especially for such a nice, new hotel. We could hear our upstairs neighbor's TV and the floor squeak as he was walking around. Not sure how they could have gotten that so wrong in this day and age. I'd definitely stay here again - on...
