El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in El Monte

I like this facility

Not to be too judgemental, but some pollo loccos I stay away from due to smaller than normally portions, non cleanliness, or undesirables visiting the location.

This one has been good to me for years. The employees are generally nice and it's usually clean. Today though at this location (and we talked about letting management know about it), it looked like it could use a thorough cleaning between customer visits and when they leave. It wasnt filthy or anything but maybe the employees were slipping. There was just spilled food on the floors where maybe kids had been eating. Nothing major. In their defense, I've often seen employees sweeping/mopping while I've been seated. So I think the condition was unusual and who knows if it was different crew or if it had been busier than normal.

Either way, I rate this El Polo Loco higher than usual since it's usually clean, you get good portions and the employees are nice.

One thing I forgot to mention is the employees will make their rounds and assst customers with clearing their tables or other things they may need. And on todays visit, the employee had a huge smile on her face. That's a good thing!

They do hire good employees here and they do an awesome job of putting the right employees where they use their best talents. In other words, the friendly ones at the register and the less talkative ones in other positions.

Worst pollo loco i have ever been to in my life. Everything tasted like the people that made it had no idea what they were doing. Mac and cheese was watery and spilled all over my food thanks to it. all the sauces watery, they didnt have creamy cilantro. And the overall quality was just inconsistent with the standards im used to at pollo loco. Maybe the workers were new today but this experience was awful and i wont be coming back to this location. It looks like other reviewers have had this same problem id post on the website so they can better address these issues but from the looks of it it'd be a waste of my time. Nothing has been done about the quality of this place for months if not years i can see reviews going back to a year or more about their watered down sauce and bad service so my advice. Don't come to this location. Why? Because these guys don't care at all they continue to get terrible reviews to this day and nothing changes so don't...

Horrible establishment. Very understaffed. Multiple times they have closed earlier than store hours because of not being staffed properly. Horrible management. I’ve used the pollo loco app and this establishment always messes up my order. Every time I call to get it fixed. No one picks up. I’ve been calling for days trying to reach someone. My last order they canceled my food order an hr before closing. Closed up early and never refunded me my order. I went walking before closing and it was only one person inside and said I would get a refund never happened. I’ve lost so much money just trying to get a simple order. I need someone to connect me from management.
