I hadn't eaten all day today when I came here to grab some fish tacos! I love tacos and I'm always looking for the best authentic reataurant. But I feel like I e been let down..
Food: Now, don't get me wrong, thr fist tacos were flavorful. They had plenty crema and the fish tacos had salt. Very tasty. But one of my tacos had barely half a fish. I ordered it woth tomatoes and onions and there was so much cream on top of a pile of tomatoes. The piece shown in pictures akrh tomatoes, you will see a small part sticking out from the blanket of to.atoes and cream, os the only piece. The size of half of your pinky. Compared to the other one on the plate it was fatty and plump. The consistency is definitely NOT there. Even with it being on special. They should make them extra juicy and sellable. I'm just speaking my mind, and mean no disrespect.
They also have a salsa bar but it looked sad and although they had plenty of salsa filled, their guacamole sauce was mostly empty with chunks of pieces of vinegar onions. The lemons were gooey and their salsas were super watered down. There was no spice in the green one and a bit spicy the red.
Service: The lady was understanding as I requested no cabbage for a pair of fish tacos. But they failed to give me full fish in one of my tacos.
Also, they accept tap. they do charge a 75 cent fee. There was no sign to indicate.
Atmosphere: upon entering, it really was dusty and at first it seemed clean. But the chairs were very very dusty. I could smell the dampness. Although they have an "A" which I commend them, I didn't feel comfortable sitting in a dusty sticky chair and eating.
Perhaps it wasn't a good day, but still. It should be clean and on Parr. Like the A They have hanging for all to seeeeeee.
Overall, I think their restaurant can fist these issues and make it better for customers to want to come back a second...
Read moreBig flavor, small prices... But check your food to go if it is a BIG order!
Been visiting here for the Wednesday taco sale ($1) each, however we ordered 14 tacos, and was a total of $15.40 (because of sales tax) and came home and it was missing 3 tacos, quite a lot. I can not imagine if we ordered more. The sauce section is always low and missing cups, so you can take sauce to go. Order to go usually takes 30 MIN, so be ready to wait some time... Lots of areas to improve here. They often confuse your order with somebody's else. Check your order before leaving the restaurant.
Lots of meals they have here: burgers, burritos, seafood... Our favorite meal so far is the shrimp tacos. They are the best we tried in El Monte! The dressing tastes great, and it is not covered with an abnormal amount of bread. Also, take advantage of the offers, such as tacos, Wednesday for $1 each, and fish tacos, $1.5 each. Atmosphere could improve a lot, the inside can look quite outdated, and there are no public restrooms, which it is a letdown. However, the prices and the taste you get here will make you visit this Mexican food restaurant again! There is plenty of sidewalk parking. They also have a cattering service (taquizas) if you have a party and want to enjoy it.
The Wednesday tacos are delicious... And only $1, we tried asada and chorizo tacos, but the chorizo was burned out, so we got a bit disappointed. Other meats are...
Read moreI did not enjoy the food here. I was starving and stopped in here with my family to get a bite to eat. We all orders burgers because we figured it would be faster to make. Upon finally stopping by a park to have a picnic we discovered old filthy packets of ketchup, the fries were tasteless and appeared old, the burgers were small and barely seasoned, and the one horchata we got was watered down. The old good thing out of the whole meal were the sodas. Totally not worth $25. It made me sick to my stomach. We didn't finish the food. It was a...
