Armando's Cafe — Restaurant in El Paso

It's not worth the racial profiling here. I came here March 1st for brunch after my husband and I came from the doctor to do a blood panel. Reference. I am a young looking female who has dark hair and a tan completion. My husband looks older and is of a white completion. We sat, we ordered and waited. The couple who came after was older set and was a tan toned male and a White toned female. That table was given tostadas (chips) and drinks before us. So after we waited 25 minutes for our coffe I decided to get up and ask the server at the counter for it, and for the tostadas and chili as my husband was diabetic and needed something while we waited. She said okay and I returned to my seat. Afterwords the cook came up and asked me in spanish what was wrong. Saying what is wrong in spanish after addressing me as "mejah". Spoke to me like I was a 10 year old being rude to an elder. So my husband answered that we were here 25 minutes waiting on coffe and 4 burritos in spanish. All I had done was go up and ask for our drinks so I was lost to why she was acting like this. The cook woman just responded to the server that I just didn't know spanish and told him we don't have chili for the chips in spanish and left to the kitchen. She proceeded to make my two burittos but nothing for him. He is diabetic and was absolutely ignored until we asked the server at the 45-minute mark where his food was. She said she did not speak English and only heard two red chili burittos. Even though my husband told them both at the previous "mejah" portion, we ordered 4 burritos.... we asked for the bill and was ignored until at the 1 hour mark we went up ourselves to pay. The woman in the kitchen asked the server the order and processed the payment and made it a point to say "two burritos only" in spanish. I have never seen such a racist place in my life against white skin tone. Well-maintained anyone at a resturant period. To emphasize how this white tone tane tone is important- the elderly couple who walked in after us- the tan male had food delivered before my burritos, and when we were leaving, his wife had received nothing. In addition, a single tan color lady walked in at the 25 minute mark and was served right after me, but before the older white lady. We left discusted because they denied us the receipt at the very end to top it all off. My husband had to eat when we got home because his sugars were now out of control due to not eating for 14 hours and being diabetic after the blood draw this morning. This place is absolutely horrible. Please let me know where to report this place for racial profiling and ignoring the fact that in the restaurant and service buisness--or any business at all people should be treated as people. Not as a superior race over another. Please let me know where to report this place as I would love to take these racist pigs off our streets. I don't care what language people speak. Or what their food preference is. If someone comes in to pay for something, they should be treated...

Before entering the establishment, pricing signs posted outside gave certain prices for certain items come to find out of course, those prices were altered and changed on the menu inside.

The tables were sticky as was the floor and the staff was extremely rude. No greeting and just kept asking impolitely for my order. Tried to build rapport and be friendly with staff only to get the cold shoulder.

I specifically asked three times about an item on the menu and pricing but upon check out it was incorrect and over charged. I attempted to pay anyhow before they pointed to a small, covered sign at the register that said cash only in very small font. Thank goodness for their ATM that charges an additional 3dlr fee.

At the end of the day the food was overpriced, sloppy, stale, and flavorless. The rude staff was the worst part. No thank you, no mentioning of a wrong order, just pay and leave. I enjoy supporting local vendors but when they are run like this, it makes me wonder how they remain afloat. It must be their deceptive...

I've been in many times and they give you a mini mini bowl of about 8 chips and salsa if you wait, today the grill was being cleaned and I had to wait over 30 minutes just for food to start so I asked for chips while I wait and she charged me 1.50 for it when my wait was their fault. Didn't even tell me til I checked out, Never will go there again !!! Already paying overpriced tacos at 7.99 for 3 tacos only. Not a plate! You just lost a good...
