Burrito House — Restaurant in El Paso

This place is alwasy busy, a good sign for good reason. I had the steak burrito yesterday and am craving it today. It was an amazing taste. There are 2 versions of the burrito, and i did not get the mexican version but, will next time. because the other didnt come with lettuce and tomato. I try to get my veggies in when I eat and the non mexican version did not have that. But its a 5 star taste and I look forward to dining in and trying everything. Staff is good. atmosphere is good. Its like a family dining hall experience. Lighting is perfect. The place is clean and smells like good food, rather than how some places smell like roaches or farts when you walk in. Service timing is also good. I waited about 10 to 15 minutes for my burrito but it was fresh and perfect and the dining hall was packed so they were doing their best. I loved that my burrito was not small. I would pay 6.16 again for that steak burrito, but i need lettuce and tomato in it next time. Super yummy! Will update post as I try...

I've been coming to burrito house for over 30 years and it's always been consistently delicious but lately it's been very disappointing. Some times the beans have zero flavor. I always order a chile relleno burrito. One used to be enough but today it was small, barely had cheese and you forgot my beans as well. I understand it takes a while to get your food. I understand it's busy and you don't answer the phone. Today, my food looked so sad and unappealing. The batter was off and almost non existent. Half was just tortilla. I was still hungry after eating it. This was thrown together like trash. Burrito House, you're slipping. It tastes like there's no more love in your food. $6 for a burrito is reasonable if you only need one. Don't make them smaller and charge more! I doubt I'll call for you for my next burrito. When calling to order a large Menudo I asked for extra pkg of onions & lemons (at an an extra charge), because they provide the same portion as the small. I mentioned that I don't think it's right since we are ordering a larger portion but realize she is just an employee and she has no say so when she mentioned that actually she was the owner. Oh? So again I mentioned how she should consider giving 2 pkgs of onions and lemons for a large size instead of 1pkg as with the small size. Her response was that she basically was being nice for even including one at all. My response was that I was being nice by buying for their establishment. Still ask for name on order. Ha Ha.
