We have eaten here for years but as of late the quality has gone down. Very disappointing service we had today (5/31). My mother is very sensitive to spicy food, and they are pretty good at accommodating her. She ordered the ceviche and told the lady not to have it spicy at all. She ordered it like that before with no spice with no problem but this time the lady came out with her plate and my mom quickly pointed out that there was clearly topped with spice the lady said it was ketchup! My mom tasted it and it was spicy and I tasted it and wow that was a spicy, which I enjoy but my mother is very sensitive to it. When let our waiter know, she said no that it was ketchup and just was basically gaslighted my mom and making her feel like it was her fault for it tasting like that. She didn’t was to resolve the plate and just brought her more limes. I know she didn’t put in the order right and didn’t want to upset the chefs with a remake. She was just very rude and condescending about it. My dad and cousin orders medium steaks and they came out well done and she just kept saying that’s how medium steaks are. Just a very disappointing experience. The only good thing they had for themselves was the live music other than that the service and food was horrible...
Read moreSo I was reading another review and noticed that they mentioned about the happy hour, and it seems because of that issue, they just complained about any little thing they could, and since they didn't mentioned the food taste, I will... Been here twice and both times the food was delicious. I'm born In Mexico and know what authentic Mexican food is. I worked as a restaurant cook over there(Mexico), and over here(US). I can honestly say that any big name restaurants I've been in the US have not offered me authentic Mexican food, but they have their seasoning as close as possible to authentic Mexican food and this restaurant is one of those places. And I know too that authentic Mexican food made in the US would be more expensive because authentic Mexican food is made from scratch. From the 'tortillas de maíz' to many 'aguas frescas' flavors. From 'arroz y frijoles refritos' to 'arroz con leche y pan de dulce'. From 'flautas con crema, aguacate, salsa, repollo, tomate y vinagre' to 'tacos de; barbacoa, pastor, alambre, etc.'. From 'Carnitas' to 'tortas de milanesa o de colitas de pavo' This restaurant not only gives you the closest taste you can get of, REALLY, Mexican food, but it gives you a great environment to...
Read moreWent for my mother's birthday. The restaurant only had about 15 people in it when I walked in. A man behind the bar sees me walk in and doesn't even bother to greet me, he just stared at me without getting someone to sit us or so much a smile. I waited 5 minutes until someone came to the front to sit us because we had a reservation. Later that evening as I wanted to pay the waiter took about 20 minutes to come by. I motioned to the same man at the bar who was looking at me and talking to our waiter for the tab and he just stared some more and turned his back. Our waiter noticed how the man acted and rushed to our table to help. We found out the rude man is the owner. The food was subpar for the price and I can see why the restaurant was pretty empty. Customer service by the owner himself is terrible so his staff will obviously follow suit. Never going back to line a rude owner's pockets with money. There are plenty more Mexican restaurants in town with great food, good prices and great...
