Don Carbón — Restaurant in El Paso

We came here to pick up a cake order that we had previously made at a different location. This particular location is the one that makes whole cakes. We were tight on time the day we picked up the cake and decided to eat here. We ordered the Hawaian burger, the cheese fondu, tortillas, the chicken combo, and well it was over $180 in total for 4 ppl. During the meal everyone was fine. After the meal, while at the restaurant, my son vomits everything. My daughter excuses herself from the table and leaves to the restroom and vomits. My sister, too, says her stomach is unsettled. I haven't eaten because the chicken is burnt and dry. The look of my meal is poor. This was horrible. On top of that, the way they served the cake was in a tray that was too big for the cake. And it wasn't a cake tray. It was a tray for catering, cookies, or sandwiches. The cake was a 3 leche cake. What in the world! When I asked why it was in an upside-down cookie, sandwich tray, they said that it was all they had. 😵‍💫 It's a restaurant, and if they sell whole cakes, then have the appropriate to go box or container. Profecionalism they lack. Customer care, they seem not to know of. I do not recommend this place at all. At least not this...

This place has some series issues. This is the 4th time that I’ve received bad service here. The first time they messed up my order and the manager did not believe that I had made an order had to go back with a picture in order to get any resolution wasting my time. I was understanding and thought maybe I should let it go so I did and still tipped them. Then it happened 2 more times the same way and they blamed me saying I should have read my order better when in past instances I would address my order looked wrong and they said don’t worry about it. And the time I don’t worry they mess it up. And then I had to jump through hoops to even get it remade. And today I went on my better judgement and I get my food and it was horrifically dry chicken and the tortillas were hard on the edges. I’m not even going to bother calling anymore because it will just end with me getting blamed and having to go through a whole ordeal with this place again. And I still tipped either way…. Will not be going...

I arrived at the restaurant, and everything was quick. However, there were three things I didn’t like. First, the attitude of the waitress who brought my food—she had an expression like she was annoyed with what she was doing. As a customer, you expect at least a neutral attitude, not a bad face as if they were giving me the food for free. When they brought my meal, most of it was delicious—the rice was perfect, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. However, the baked potato was black inside, and I couldn’t eat it. Seriously? They open the potato to add cheese and can’t notice that it’s black at the bottom? What really ruined my experience was the fact that there were four flies hovering around my food, which was incredibly annoying as I had to keep shooing them away, and they still managed to land on my food...
