Julio's Mexican Food — Restaurant in El Paso

If I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I would my daughter completed Her nurses training and the only place she wanted to celebrate was at this restaurant? What a horrible experience we had. If I were you, I think twice before going to this restaurant . When we walked in we had to use the restroom as we were walking to the back we saw two waitress sitting in a table folding napkins while holding a baby in their laps and baby grabbing the napkins How unsanitary is that i took pictures ill be showing it to the health department then they walk us to our table and 2 of the waiters are arguing about who gets the tables in front of us made us feel so uncomfortable? Then our waitress, which was very nice took our order and it took about thirty five minutes to get our food. When we got our food, my baked potato was so cold. It wouldn't melt the butter our ranch bean look like they were the leftovers they had from yesterday and cold, my husband got fajitas but they We're not even warm fajitas done right need to sizzle when they bring them out These were just thrown in the pan..$29.96 Down the drain.. My grandson got shrimp and they only gave him four.. All together, my daughter spent over a $100 on food. That was horrible cold and no taste what so ever..So when we left we still went somewhere else to eat. We had fast food and it was so much better then this expensive food. My daughter didn't really want to complain, but the food was so unacceptable, So I went back to complain and they offered me 10% off my next meal. Who the hell wants to go back certainly Not me.. The first manager that I talked to was very nice. He did try to talk to his upper management to see if they could do something better for us, but they didn't care. This is my daughter's favorite restaurant. And it was a special occasion and all she wanted was to celebrate there and this is the kind of service we got. So if you are looking for good mexican food this is not the place go. I told my daughter, you must be crazy to say that this is your favorite restaurant.. And higher management you should be ashamed. I didn't want you to give me free food. But for what we spent abd how bad your food was you should have done better than 10%. You could tell that you don't care about your customers. So beware people if you enter that restaurant.. If I am gonna spend hard earned money then I want good food I don't mind spending good money on good food but this was ridiculous. ..SO TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER BEWARE BUT IF YOU LIKE COLD BAD TASTING FOOD THEN JULIO'S MEXICAN FOOD IN GATEWAY IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went on January 21 2024 to have breakfast with family and friends. As we were leaving the place we told them thank you and left a 40dll tip to the young gentlemen that took care of us. We left the place and as i was turning to get into I-10 i noticed thats i had left my sunglasses on the table so i turned around and went back and nicely asked for my sunglasses and they told me to go ahead and check on the table that I was sitting on, i went and check and the sunglasses were gone. I approach the waiter and ask him to see if he had picked up the sunglasses on which she said I’m sorry, but I didn’t clean the table so I approached the manager, and the manager stated that there was nothing left, and there was nothing that could she could do on which I replied with can you please check your cameras, The sunglasses are worth $350 dlls She said I have no access to the cameras. We will take your name and I’ll have my manager contact you on Monday on which I replied the sunglasses are here i’m not gonna wait till Monday I just left 7 minutes ago she said I’m sorry, but there’s nothing I can do, I need a password to get into the system and I don’t have it. My manager is the only one that can access it. I went ahead and called the police, police came by, I showed them the photos. They went inside the restaurant, check the cameras and came out with my sunglasses. Horrible experience. When the police gave me the sunglasses I noticed that there was a long hair stuck to the sunglasses, i have short hair. Be careful when you go to that specific...

Excelent customer service. I was impressed how this team worked together to give all the customers lots of attention. It was extremely busy with a full house and our waiter was busy with a couple who was ordering their food, another waiter who happened to be closer noticed we seemed to be waiting for our waiter and asked if we needed anything. We were low in coffee, and he immediately went and brought us some. Our waiter did come by often to check on us as well. As I ate I noticed the same thing with the rest of the staff, if one staff member was in the middle of something and another staff member happened to notice that a customer was in need of something, they would take action. Even the busboys/girls! One was cleaning a table and brought coffee to the people next to the table they were just cleaning off. I was like, wow. And to top it off, every single one was so nice and polite. From the greeter and on. The food was also good. To me, the best was their Red Chile meat, Green Chile Chicharrón, and their Menudo. I am extremely picky about Menudo. It was very clean, was not greasy, and ESPECIALLY didn't taste "gamey." The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because they open until 9 am. MANY people eat their breakfast early. My family is one of them. In my family's case, not eating at the usual time can give them digestive issues. Especially our elderly. I would assume we are not alone in this. Other than that, I LOVED...
