Alright, so I just emerged from the golden arches of McDonald'aand let's be honest, it was a solid, dependable McDonald's experience. Like that reliable friend who always shows up on time but never brings anything new to the party. The fries? Still crispy, still salty, still disappearing down my gullet at an alarming rate. The McDouble? A glorious monument to affordable protein and processed cheese that hits the spot in a way that makes my doctor subtly weep. The sweet tea? Perfectly sugary, the kind that makes you question your life choices but tastes so darn good going down. The service was… efficient. Like a well-oiled, fast-food serving machine. My order was correct, my change was accurate, and the person at the window managed a semi-smile that suggested they hadn't completely lost their will to live. A win in the fast-food arena, frankly. But here's where we need to have a little heart-to-heart, McDonald's. We've been together for a long time. You were there for my childhood road trips, my late-night study sessions, and those "treat yourself" moments that maybe happened a little too frequently. And I appreciate you. I really do. However… your menu is starting to feel like that same playlist you've had since high school. It's comfortable, it's familiar, but sometimes, you just crave a new banger, you know? We're in El Paso, for crying out loud! Where's the spicy McTostada with a hint of green chile? Where's the breakfast burrito that could rival anything I get off-post? I'm just saying, there's a whole world of flavor out there, and your menu is playing it safer than a toddler in a bubble wrap suit. I'm not asking for molecular gastronomy here. I just think it's time for a little culinary adventure. Maybe a limited-time regional special that actually reflects the awesome food scene around here? Throw in a bold new sauce? Introduce a dessert that isn't just a variation of ice cream? Live a little, Mickey D's! You've got the global infrastructure; now, let's get some global inspiration up in this menu. So, yeah, my McDonald's experience today was a solid 7 out of 10. Good, dependable, got the job done. But that missing three points? That's the untapped potential, the flavor frontier that's just begging to be explored. Come on, McDonald's. Surprise us. My taste buds (and probably your bottom line) will thank you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a place that sells a decent green chile cheeseburger....
Read moreSo I went around lunch time. Restaurant wasn’t as packed as it usually is, but they did something odd when they brought me my burger and drink in one and gave me a run around for my fries 😂 I had even seen them put the tray down on the counter and a high school kid passed by and grabbed the fries off the tray.. when I tried telling the manager about the situation she seemed overwhelmed and rudely stopped me and said “they’re not ready yet” when I just saw them get taken off the dang tray! So I bypassed the manager as I saw she was in some sort of mood to begin with and the lady at the counter assisted me. Once the manager saw her helping me she asked the worker what was going on, and she asked her “well does he have a receipt?” At which point I interjected flashing the receipt at the rude management associate and she then rolled her eyes threw her hands up and said “just do it!” Such a sorry attitude for a person in management, she needs some serious customer service training. All she had to do was hear her...
Read moreHad a horrible experience today, took my grandma for breakfast. Ordered 2 big breakfast with hot cakes, a hot hazelnut latte and a caramel macchiato. Confirmed with the cashier my order and that the hazelnut latte would be hot. After waiting I received 1 big breakfast and 2 iced fraps. I went to show my receipt and the employee states she only needed a hot hazelnut latte. I had to tell her the other drink wasn’t a caramel macchiato. She didn’t even know the difference. Then I had to get back in line to order the other big breakfast which took a long time because they only had 1 cashier and a big line. I walked out of the line. I asked to talk to the manager and was told I couldn’t because everything would stop. I don’t recommend stopping at this location. I didn’t get my breakfast and I got bad service just overall bad experience. As I was waiting for my grandma to eat her breakfast I realized I wasn’t the only person who’s order was “messed” up. I hope the manager and it’s...
