Bad experience with the place. The first time everything good second time all meats that we ordered we DID NOT EAT BECAUSE of poor cuality and bad taste the staff noticed that we left the food so asked what happened. we expressed the reason was food did not taste appetizing as it did the first time we hade it, expecting for the business to at least split the lost a little discount i mean a party of 4 and we all felt the same about the food and didn't eat it, we should have just ordered rice and beans since thats all we ended up eating discount didn't happen poor customer service even when you call the person picking up the phone sounds like she hate having to talk very dry very what ever!!! Its the same when she's acting as a server. Maybe a cool place to go drink but not to eat. All of the above is my opinion constructive criticism can make things better...

I’ve been to this place a few times and it’s always the same , I didn’t want to write a review at first thinking maybe the first time it happened it was just a bad day but after going there again I can tell the service is bad. , you walk in and they don’t even acknowledge you or smile or anything they look at you like they are bothered you came in. I’m a polite person and always smile and greet people. You then see them hanging out at other tables with other people they look like they’re friends or family smiling and laughing but when they come to you it’s the opposite. They are arrogant. I would like to start by saying that I am Dominican, so I know Dominican food/flavor. I went to Merengue this week, as I just recently moved to the area. I started with passion fruit juice and an empanada, they were both delicious and the Empanada had so much flavor it reminded me of home. I decided to order the mofongo de ajo with fried pork chunks and OMG, it was so good! Mofongo was not hard and the pork was fried, but so juicy, I was so happy. I ate so much I didn’t eat dinner, the portions are great and the prices fair. The staff is amazing, Luz was my server and she was great! I will be back very soon, I want to try everything...
