Another great spot!! It's been a while since I've been here but prices and good are still awesome!! We came for lunch and they do have a 9 item lunch menu for 10$. Whatever item you get it did include a drink and a soup which was caldo de Rez a.k.a. a beef soup with carrots onion celery cabbage and beef. Beef was really tender and literally fell apart with a spoon. Great balance of flavors. For my entree I had the Sarape burger mid rawr comes with white cheddar and green chilies and fries which was great also! The waitress Audri was amazing because my burger didn't come with the soup but she hooked it up anyways on her.. She was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of!! My cousin had the sampler which had 2 enchiladas a beef and potato taco with beans.. As you can see by the pictures he couldn't quite finish but said was really good. My Aunt had the sirloin steak with a cheese sauce on top and rice and beans also which she couldn't finish also but loved also!! Definitely recommend this place for good homemade Mexican...
Read moreFestive decorations and homespun sayings on the walls, nice people and tasty food coming out of the kitchen! Showing up way late for lunch and early for dinner with a party of 4 did not rattle anyone. Pleasant greetings, spicy salsa verde and pico de gallo with warm crispy tostada chips bought us time to consider the extensive menu. Traditional combination platters caught our eye. Meaty, crispy flautas were superb, beef and shredded potato filled taco and cheesy red enchiladas were enhanced by excellent, bacon laced refried pinto beans and sumptuous rice with delicate seasonings, onions and peas were not the all too frequently served bland afterthought sides. One diner enjoyed a monster BLT, stuffed with bacon and lettuce. Plenty to take some home for later! Menudo is always on the menu, and was very good with plenty of hominy and tripe in a mildly spicy, grease-free broth. It was a bit salty for my taste, but just fine with my cross-table partner. Definitely looking forward to a return visit...
Read moreWhen you buy a large family package and get a small cup of salsa to maybe get 1tsp of salsa per taco that is absurd! I took the small cup back since everytime I had been given a medium cup, not full either, for 24 tacos. The supposed owner went ballistic. Telling me next time he wil charge me for it. And demanded I tell him who would give me the bigger cup of salsa. Shoot, I dont know personal names. Most dont wear name tags. I told him everyone does, He continued to ask me 2 more times. I guess the punk did not believe me. My answer did not change. I got news for him. These tacos always fall apart even when you ask for extra crispy to try to keep them together a bit before you get them to your mouth. The rice is cooked in oil that is at smoke point and was...
