Stopped at this place after a massage. I had always seen it but never paid it much attention. Well, I was hungry so it was near and I was feeling adventurous. So I walked in and was greeted by a well dressed young man who sat me right away. This place was so cool...loved the ambiance. I was thinking definitely a place for a nice date with your someone special. My hubby was going to join me later and is NOT a fan of sushi (I am) so I was hoping that the menu had something for him. Well, much to my relief and happiness, they did offer "normal" dishes...steak, chicken, fish...so I knew he'd be having a good lunch too. While I waited for him to arrive, I was given the drink menu and they had MANY great selections. I, being a Vodka gal, tried their Lemon Drop Martini and was pleasantly surprised. It was made really well...way to go bartender! I ordered as an appetizer, the crab n cream cheese wontons...YUM! Also, had a shrimp tempura roll...made deliciously. Hubby arrived and we both tried their steak plates...him the RibEye and me, the filet mignon. We ended up switching because I liked his more and he's a good hubby, lol. Nothing was wrong with the Filet Mignon; it was very tender and tasty but I just liked the way his Rib-eye tasted more. We both enjoyed our meal and were definitely telling ourselves, we are coming back again but dressed up for a romantical (yes, that's a word...to me) date night. PS. the music playing rocked! Bill came and considering everything we had...the price fits the experience so no shock there. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, a must try if you've...
Read moreIt is rare that I find a nearly perfect restaurant, and this was one. I have absolutely no major complaints about the food, service, or decor.
It isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside is a different story. They have these really cool lamps that look like scaled fish, the lighting and other mood decorations were very colorful, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere, the fake plants were actually clean, the booths were comfortable and not at all cramped. Our server was extremely attentive, the only tiny complaint I had there is I asked for water with no ice (sensitive teeth), yet she brought it with ice. I was able to survive with a straw, but I don't particularly like them, and it wasn't worth the trouble to fix.
Okay, to the food. The El Paso roll is pretty amazing, the tempura shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the California roll my Dad got, good as well. The dumpling appetizer was about what I expected, delicous and didn't have that frozen taste, so I'm assuming they are made in house. If not, they are a high quality prepared product.
Overall, this is going to be someplace I add to my regular restaurant rotation, since I'm over that direction on a fairly regular basis. It would also be a wonderful location for a date or a...
Read moreWe went online and looked at their menu prior to coming. The place seems clean and quaint but once we got here we were handed a menu that is quite a bit more than they show online. We went back and looked at the online menu and realized it was the lunch menu which was our mistake although you can search their entire website and there is no dinner menu listed anywhere! Their dinner prices are a little bit expensive! We wanted Teppanyaki steak but all they have is filet mignon at 6 ounces for $26. We ordered the chicken and the chicken was good. I ordered three drinks and we each got one refill. When we got the check we realized not only were the cokes three dollars apiece but the refills also cost us. They didn’t mention there was a charge for refills. The waitress was helpful but for some reason not want to leave the appetizer plates and the napkins on the table. She kept putting them on the table next to us and we kept taking them back because we needed the napkins. This restaurant is OK but if you’re going to come here come at lunchtime on a weekday. The prices are much more reasonable. And also don’t forget to skip the...
