While dining, I observed a situation involving a nearby party that displayed an unfortunate lack of respect towards the restaurant staff. Despite the staff's efforts to accommodate them by providing an additional table beyond their original party for four, the guests were noticeably dismissive and discourteous to both the server and the manager.
When the manager courteously reminded them that their allotted dining time had elapsed—an expectation clearly communicated at the entrance—and politely requested they settle their bill to make room for other waiting patrons, the guests' behavior grew even more disrespectful. The manager handled the situation professionally, offering an apology and emphasizing that they had already been granted extra time.
It was disheartening to witness such disregard for the staff's professionalism and the restaurant’s policies. For individuals who prefer dining without time constraints, numerous alternatives are available. Based on their demeanor, establishments with a more casual, quick-service environment might better suit their preferences. I was sitting at a table next to this party who were making comments about the staff. I must admit, they were being extremely rude. After accommodating their party and giving them an extra table, which was originally only four of them, they were very disrespectful and dismissive towards the server and manager. When the manager kindly asked them to cash out because there were other people waiting for tables and their time limit was up, they were even more rude. She also apologized and asked them to be aware that she had already given them extra time. We were also told about the time limit at the door, so there’s no way she didn’t know about it. It’s appalling that these ladies have time to be so disgusting. If you don’t want a time limit, there are 986 other restaurants in El Paso. With the way they acted, I would recommend any kind of fast food service...

If you’re searching for a place where flavor, atmosphere, and service collide in perfect harmony, look no further than 35 Tavern. From the moment you walk in, there’s an inviting vibe that makes you feel like you’ve found your new go-to spot. Kudos Christina, great service! Now, let’s talk food, because 35 Tavern doesn’t just serve meals—it delivers experiences.
Swordfish Ceviche: I’ve had my fair share of ceviche, but this? This was next level. Fresh, bright, and impossibly tender, the swordfish melted on the tongue like butter. Balanced with just the right amount of citrus zing and kissed with herbs that brought out the ocean’s freshness, it was the kind of dish you savor slowly just to make it last.
The Ribeye: Perfectly medium-well, exactly as I ordered, with that ideal pink center and a charred crust that locked in every ounce of flavor. Juicy, tender, and rich—each bite was a carnivore’s dream. And then there were the mushrooms, earthy and sautéed to perfection, soaking up all those savory juices. But the real surprise? The Gulf shrimp—each one nearly the size of my hand! Sweet, meaty, and fried just right, they added a luxurious twist to an already decadent plate.
Of course, no great meal is complete without a cold drink, and 35 Tavern keeps it classic. The beers were ice-cold, the cocktails crisp and balanced—no skimping on quality here. Every sip was refreshing and complemented the food beautifully.
We ended the night with a crème brûlée that deserves its own round of applause. Crackly caramelized sugar on top gave way to a silky custard beneath—a chef’s kiss finish to a flawless evening.
From the first course to the last, 35 Tavern nailed it. With Christina leading the way on service and the kitchen firing on all cylinders, it’s an easy five stars from me. Can’t...
Read moreIt really breaks my heart to write this review. This place has been my go-to weekly for 2 years now. Last night I called ahead and ordered due to finishing work a hour before closing. I let them know I wanted to sit in and eat my food just calling before the kitchen closed. (As I have done before) when I arrived I was greeted by a rude dark haired lady who seated us in the dirties booth it also smelled of dirty mop water in the restaurant I instantly felt uncomfortable and my skin started to itch. After that she brought out the food which wasn’t correct and proceeded to say “you need to pay now due to the kitchen closing” (weird) we then asked for our bill which she had to go back to get. (Even weirder) After bringing our check out we noticed the food wasn’t correct and waited for the waitress for almost 10 minutes before deciding we were uncomfortable with the environment and dissatisfied with the food. (We hadn’t touched) so we left out the door and was chased down by a heavy set Hispanic manager lady who waved the bill in our face screaming “SO YOU ARENT GOING TO PAY YOUR BILL” we stated that we hadn’t touched the food or been serviced properly. She proceeded to let us know that “From what I heard, yall don’t tip the waiters and waitresses”. I was baffled because I always tip $5 and my friend does as well. That’s our go to tip on a typically $75 bill. I proceeded to say “You don’t have to worry about us anymore, and get in the car and leave” the lady responded “good” and stormed off. They have a sister location that I will try but I’ll never be back here again. I also usually refer plenty people here but...
