I don’t know what’s going on with the guy in charge of making the burritos today, but what happened was unacceptable and honestly dangerous. I had to return my simple bean and egg burrito twice, and by the third time, I couldn't even go back again because I had already made the long drive home to the west side. I had even called my order and paid ahead of time because I was driving far distances and was in a crunch of time for work.
The first time, both burritos were served in raw flour tortillas, completely inedible and a serious health risk. The second attempt? My egg and bean burrito came back absolutely covered in black pepper to the point it looked burnt and unrecognizable. I still tried to give it a chance, but when it was finally remade, the third version was so salty I had to spit it out and throw it away.
It’s beyond frustrating not just as a customer, but as someone who made the effort to support this business. This isn’t just about poor quality anymore; it’s about neglect, waste, and harmful food preparation. If this person can’t take responsibility or show any care in how food is made, they should not be allowed to continue in this role. No one should be served food like that, ever.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see how far this place has fallen. What used to be a reliable spot has quickly turned into a place I can no longer trust. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back, and I’ll be warning friends and family to stay away too until things change. People deserve to feel safe eating somewhere and not have to worry about raw dough or being served food that feels like it was made out of spite.
Valentine’s Bakery, please take your customers’ business and loyalty seriously. The only reason this business exists and the only reason anyone here has a job is because of loyal, hard working customers who choose to spend their hard earned money here. To treat them with carelessness or disrespect isn’t just ungrateful, it’s a betrayal of the very people who keep this place alive. That kind of attitude isn’t just bad service, it’s sickening.
What’s so wrong with just wanting to enjoy a simple egg and bean burrito and some pan dulce from a place you thought was good? What used to be something I looked forward to and proudly recommended is now something I’m embarrassed to even mention. Just thinking about it now...
Read moreI’m a frequent customer here and for the first time I’m very disappointed. The service has always been good regardless of how busy this place may be. However, today it was different. I placed an online order and I show up to pick up. The place is busy, but when placing online orders you go up to the counter and you ask for the order. I go to the lady that was helping make burritos and ask for my order. She’s looking around like she doesn’t see my order, and is just saying she doesn’t have it ready. Since she was looking for my order like it wasn’t there, I told her it was an online order. She doesn’t tell me anything, doesn’t look for my order and tell me it’s coming up - NOTHING. She continues making the burrito orders coming in. So I just stepped aside to wait, after a while I see my order being made. She’s literally making my burrito like she’s annoyed I asked her about my order (which aren’t I supposed to?). She’s literally throwing the meat and beans in my burrito like she’s mad. She then proceeds to THROW MY ORDER on the countertop and doesn’t say my name for the order. I had literally just asked her about it and she couldn’t just call out my name? What if I wouldn’t have been paying attention and I would’ve kept waiting for my order? This left a very bad taste in my mouth, she had no reason to be rude as I simply approached her for my order. I didn’t get her name, but she’s on the older side and has dark hair. I proceeded to let her coworker know what just happened and she told me “That’s how she is”…so I guess as a consumer if you go to this place know some people in there have forgotten what customer service is and are comfortable with treating their...
Read moreI’ve bought burritos a few times. I do come from Horizon just for burritos. This afternoon I ordered a few including a Brisket burrito for 5.99!!! I get it there’s a sign that says check your burrito before you leave. I didn’t have plans to eat it there so I brought it home to enjoy. As soon as I take a bite OMG someone poured out the whole bottle of salt! I wasn’t expecting that!! I tried eating it but there was no way! I called to let them know and our response was that once you walk out the bakery it’s not there problem! Miguel said and I quote “ para la otra vez digale al cosinero que le de una aprobada del burrito antes de que lo enpaque “ !! Who in the world is going to do that! Miguel also implied that we put the salt because they don’t season it there!!! I wasn’t asking for a refund! I just wanted a remake of something else! I get it this things happen but for $5.99 it went to the trash! Every time I go I spend $35! I bought 5 burritos and 5 breads for $34.63. My receipt didn’t even show me a detailed description. Poor customer service to me Covid is being used as a lame excuse!! Any restaurant will always try to keep a customer but not here!! They lost a loyal customer! I’ll take my money elsewhere! Miguel you and your team need to reevaluate your customer service professional skills! Don’t use Covid as an excuse!! Instead try and keep your customers happy!!I only put a star ⭐️ because it wouldn’t allow me to put none!! So 0 stars!! Sadly it was my to go to burrito bakery!! I’ll take my...
