I have been in the LA Area for some years now and have been trying the best rated burger places in the area. I have tried all of the popular ones (Easy Street, The Window, Heavy Handed, For the Win, Burger She Wrote, In N Out, etc…) I never usually am the one to write reviews online, however I think Spread Please should get the recognition it deserves.
I got a classic double patty cheeseburger, was able to get additives on it for free, got a ton of fries, and a homemade lemonade for $18. All of these other places would’ve at least been $25 for just the combo, not to mention charge $2-3 for extra sauce if you want it, but at Spread Please those extras are completely free.
The burgers are cooked in beef tallow, much healthier than the seed oils most restaurants used to cook their food in, much bigger in size than its competitors, were juicy and fresh tasting. The house sauce is definitely inspired and close to the taste of In n Outs spread but much fresher quality. The fries were crisp and and salty and I will say the sweet potato fries might be better than the regular. The strawberry lemonade was really smooth as well not too sweet and not sour, more refreshing.
In all this spot is my new number 1 and I definitely recommend everyone to put Spread Please on their hit list of burger spots. Good service, polite and kind people working there, and overall really good food, especially for the price. I would love to see this place start to get the attention and growth it deserves on yelp and TikTok, especially with the local food...
Read moreUnfortunately what could have been a fantastic, 5-star worthy smashburged experience was utterly kneecapped by the fact that this place is clearly not ready for prime time - from walking into the store to actually having a pair of smashburgers in our hands was nearly 90 minutes. This was after we were warned it might be 30-35 before we got our food, so we knew there might be a wait - but that estimate was off by nearly an hour. There were multiple delivery folks there who were looking to pick up orders that were running 45+ minutes late as well, so it wasn't an experience limited just to those dining in.
I feel awful for the staff who were there - clearly they are as stressed as the customers were (both dine in and take out) but from what we saw this place might be able to handle 10-20 guests an hour, tops, with the way they were staffed. For something like a smash burger and fries, that is completely untenable, no matter how good the food might be.
I hope management realizes they have what is proving to be a spot growing in popularity that plenty of people want to patronize, and provide the appropriate staff and training to actually meet demand. I'd love to go back one day when they've figured this out, but as it stands this was a one-and-done...
Read moreThis is a two guns coffee shop that turns into a burger shop with drinks in the late afternoon.
I ordered the hickory burger meal with the dirty fry. The smoked bacon jam and spicy bbq in the burger was very tender and juicy. The dirty fry is basically an in-n-out's animal-style fries that is cooked with beef tallow which gives the fries a nice flavor. While the overall dirty fry was great, there could be an improvement on bit more cheese and onions to it.
The staff was nice but the orders came out very slow. There is no way of knowing if your food came if you waited outside at their patio area and dining tables outside especially since there isn't enough space to wait when it's crowded. A friend came at a later date and they apparently forgot his order and it took over 50min to get his food. I assume this is fairly new and so the logistics are still being fleshed out. Hopefully the service improves. I'd like to come back to try the...
