This was my first time going to this particular Chili's and the second time that I've eaten out since the start of the pandemic. Let me say that the food was okay, and the service was kind of slow, but that is not my main focus for this review. This is... Prior to going I called the Chili's to ask about their Covid-19 precautions. I was told that the staff wear masks at all times and that the patrons have to wear masks upon entering the restaurant and any time you are not actually seated at your table, and that customers are seated 6 feet apart. While we were there, there was a group of 3 people who came in with masks in their hands, but they did not bother putting them on. They walked up to the host stand, and were walked through the restaurant and seated without being asked to put on their masks. When I said something to the server and then the manager, I was told by both that per Chili's corporate policy, they cannot force anyone to wear masks; that they are highly suggested or strongly recommended but they can't make anyone wear them. I told them if anyone calls to ask about the precautions that they need to say that masks are highly recommended but not required as opposed to saying that customers have to keep their masks on except when they are seated. If they had told me that, I never would have gone to eat in. Some people may be ok with this right now, but I think that if you take the time to call and find out their procedures, they should tell you that they recommend but can't enforce mask wearing, that way the customer can make an educated decision on whether or not they will come into...
Read moreWe hadn't been to a Chili's in a while. I'm so glad we stopped in. We had Shy as our server. We've been together for 21 years and have never had such a positive experience at a dining location. We informed Shy we were splitting an appetizer and one entree. Not only was there a great attention to detail, but also 3 plates were brought to us. The kitchen was informed to cut the sandwich we were splitting in half. Again, we've been together for 21 years and that has never happened to us before. It was on the receipt, so I know it was Shy who told them. We were so incredibly impressed and appreciative. We will definitely be returning, hopefully getting Shy because the experience was so wonderful. We also liked how he was wearing 3 wedding rings. :) The bathrooms were very clean, bar pretty busy. The only regret is I didn't take...
Read moreOver the course of the last 6 months I’ve received the worst food service I have ever dealt with in eldersburg. The wait staff is slow and unorganized and nonprofessional. Spending more time on their phones in the sight of everyone than doing their job. Not even why I’m giving this review. The reason for this one is because of the last 3 times I’ve gotten carry out it is slow and people on their phones while I wait and stare at them for easily 10 minutes each time just getting ignored. Also, DO NOT ORDER THRU DOORDASH. They keep their food in the bar area on a shelf in a corner out of the line of sight from the staff except for a bartender too busy to pay attention or care about the food and now TWICE they have blamed DoorDash for the issue but when I contact my driver they say the food was picked up before their arrival and that chilis forces them to cancel the order. When I tried to call chilis to resolve the issue they said it was doordashes issue and then hung up on me. Was also very rude in tone. So sad because I loved this place as a child and now lazy, luckluster no talent staffing and management has driven it into the ground. Go eat at Glory Days instead.
Edit: The manager that refused to offer and help or insight as well as pushed off blame and hung up on me is named Thomas. Shame on the owner for poor judgement when...
