Five Guys — Restaurant in Maryland

Every time I go to Five Guys, I'm so hungry that I forget to truly enjoy how tasty their burgers are. Since most Five Guys operate the same, here are a few details that make this particular restaurant in Sykesville stand out:

1.) For better or worse, they go overboard with the cajun seasoning. They put more than "a little Tony's on dat."

2.) One evening, I was the last customer and placed my order to go. The fries were incredible! Every fry was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

3.) Everyone is friendly and embraces customer service as a team event. The guy that shoves all those fries into your bag is just as happy to serve you as the person who took your order.

And one day, when I'm not so famished, I'll walk back into my local Sykesville Five Guys and actually take the time to...

Would be 5 stars except for the occasional shifts of employees that seem to find customers to be a disturbance to their conversations. MOST visits are above and beyond any other burger place, BUT, certain crew shifts ... Well, I sent a complaint about a particularly unresponsive crew which included a problem with the soda machine. The complaint contained 9 detailed problems, including the soda machine problem. The response from the company was an apology about the soda machine problem and an offer for two free meals. The response contained NOTHING about the staff attitudes and disregard for the customer accompanied by condesending smart a$$ replies to the complaints I tried to address...

Good burgers but high prices. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in town, but it's getting a little expensive and I am getting less for my money. It cost us over $23 for a bacon burger, two grilled cheese sandwiches and a small fry last time. No drinks. Also, it used to be that for $3.29, the small fries were actually pretty huge making it a good value. This time I opened the bag to find a pitifully small quantity of fries. I asked the guy at the counter about it and he told me that they had been told to reduce the amount of fries given in each order. I don't think my family will be eating here anymore with so many other great food options at reasonable prices...
