I just left that place. Very disappointed. The food was just ok and drink was fine, the lady at the bar was very try nice but at some point, I was seating at the bar section, a young couple showed up with an “application form” and started to fill it out for a looong time. At least 20 min. They were doing it literally on my “spit” of the section where I was searing-and, of course, spoke only Spanish, which I don’t understan and made me really uncomfortable when they looked at me, said something and were laughing uncontrollably. Then, after like at least 20 min, the manager came and pushed me even more from my seating. I felt very uncomfortable with this almost “touching” distance. When I said to him, the manager, that he is crossing the boundaries, he replied with such an arrogance: “we don’t have an office here, I have to do it here”. I am not a young person and have never seen such a disrespect for a client. I am a white man and at that time I felt I don’t belong to this place and I am not welcomed. Everyone spoke only Spanish and some broken English when it came for me to make an order. Actually, the manager said from a distance that I don’t have to come there again. Of course, I will not make that mistake. This is not a normal place for you if you are not Spanish. You would feel very much ignored, and unwelcome. I am very sad to share this because I do like the “Spanish” culture and travel a lot to Mexico but I was never treated that way like this evening. This manager does not represent the restaurant and it’s workers well. At least he lost for good 1 client. But I am white man so now I do understand that in this new American world I am not welcomed and I have no rights. So sad. One more thing: I was never told nor it was not shown in the check that the gratuity was already added. So I left an additional, good tip. Please, don’t go there if you are white and don’t like VERY loud music and too crowded tables and people literally leaning on you and touching you whenever they pass by you. And such a rude, arrogant and unprofessional manager. He was the really one, with his terrible attitude, who ruined my evening, caused me to leave the place right away and for sure lost a client. And I believe, a good one, who just expected some basic respect and culture...
Read moreThere are better restaurants in the area. Like “Brisas” Also, I normally go to Noches de Colombia at Jersey City where the food and service is MUCH BETTER. This location in Elizabeth has lower its quality. I have been a regular customer since 2015 and celebrated my birthday there 3 times. The new people they are hiring have very low customer service skills. I went to celebrate my 30th birthday with my friends and family the host in particular told us to wait until we have all the people to be able to have a table. The “supervisor” that day-May 2nd- did not manage well the situation and let us wait outside, didn’t even provided a chair for our older guests. We waited for two hours and every time we approached the hosts she would roll eyes on us and have a very negative attitude. Very unprofessional. Thanks God that our server for that day was one of the old staff 🙌🏻. Then, the same week I went there for breakfast and the server also had a very negative attitude the meet from the “calentaó’” was cold, my brother asked for a warm milo and the server said “o es frío o es caliente” it was very clear that this server did not know how to prepare such a basic mix of cold and hot to make a warm drink and by the way that is not the proper way to respond to a customer. Before that when we entered the location 5 servers pass by the door and did not even said good morning, ignoring a customer decreases the restaurant value and reputation. I don’t understand this new people and who they think they are but if they feel so miserable about their job they should just quit, go to school, learn manners and become professional and generous people. This is not Colombia, in United States you have all kind of customers coming from different economical backgrounds you never know who is your customer so treat everybody worthy. You only have one job, to provide an excellent...
Read moreI’m a truck driver delivering nearby and ordered from this place . I don’t like lies or even thrash someone or a business over a one time bad experience or misunderstanding or things alike . So if this place was bad , I’d tell you . If it was ok I’d tell you . This place is neither of those. This place in my honest opinion is THE BEST I’ve been to. Good food flavor and great portion. I think I was like $33 dollars and it was due to delivery fee and tip , and I made almost 3 meals out of it . That included my natural mango drink. The meal is called “combinado”. Thank you guys . Really awesome for the money , in spite of the true high prices out there , and some taking advantage and blaming it on inflation to go even higher , you guys stay reasonable . That’s so kind. Thank you, and may Christ Himself , our Creator and God and Lord ( RISEN KING ) be with you . Now on a side note to all who read this : CHRIST IS THE ONLY HOPE. TURN TO HIM AND SUBMIT TO HIS LORDSHIP. This applies to all ( civilians , authorities , everyone ) . Because of him we exist to His Glory , and on that bases we love and respect or still love but defy government and their crooked schemes. JESUS KING OVER ALL kings! Take care everyone , don’t tailgate , slow down , e careful...
