Breakfast time is the only time I've had any positive experiences. Breakfast- always quick, warm food and good, coffee is great, but if you get a specialty drink at this locale make sure to ask for a shot or two extra of flavor, if not, it's too coffeeish. Now, in the evenings, especially weekends after 5:00 p.m. service sucks, long line and wait, snd the drinks are horrible! Numerous times I've gotten horrible drinks in the evenings and weeknds. Caramel macchiato hot and it tasted like they didn't put any flavor in it and more like starlight coffee, even asked for 2 extra shots of flavor, don't think they out them in. Another time I got the new Cookie Crumble Latte iced coffee Decaf with two shots of extra flavor, it was absolutely horrible; it had a barely coffee and flavor taste-more like it was watered down and had barely any ice in it! I think they didn't know how to do decaf or didn't have any and just watered down straight coffee, that's what it tasted like! Plus, the flavor was horrible, gingerbread is what I could barely taste snd that was the cookie crumbles not the creamer flavor. And like I mentioned, it had barely any ice and it looked like it was melted down ice cubes- small etc, you know the melted ice look. Plus, they didn't seem to know what the hell they were doing at the drive-thru! First cashier couldn't figure out how to ring it up, second one told me wrong price, way lower than what it should've been I told her no way that's right! She says, "yea, that's way to cheap for 2 coffee drinks and a dozen donuts,'' then it takes another employee to help her ring it up! As I'm pulling away take two or three drinks of my Cookie Crumble latte and my daughter tastes it and says that's the worst coffee I've ever had!I pull straught back around to the window and tell her I was another because this one tastes like it's been watered down beyond barely tasting the drink. She refused to make me another without charging me becasue, "I'm sorry you don't like the taste of the Cookie Crumble, you'll have to pay for another drink." I argued back and forth for a couple of minutes and just pulled away when she started being a complete b@tch. I called the customer service number the next day. I got an iced Caramel Machiotto another time and by the time I was at the red light heading left on Mary Patten, I noticed I was basically done with a large iced coffee! I looked closer and noticed the ice was all the way to the top of the rim and there was barely any liquid in it. Had to go back on that one too! Showed them the ice and the line where the ice is supposed to stop (it's on the cups)snd that the ice was 2" over! They gave me another no problem. I guess it depends on who you get working in the weekday evenings. I hate this Dunking Donuts!
Be aware the service sucks on the weekends, especially...
Read moreHealth codes are not followed. Drinks are not made correctly. I was told that's the way it should look. Where was the cinnamon? Two of them on shift now have no idea what they doing, one of them that has no idea may have no idea cause the other one should have showed them cause they manger. Can't stand a Lier. Called she said she was the manger so why is she not teaching the people under her to correctly make drinks. Wants the manger pay without doing the mangers work. She ( the so called manger there now ) said her manger told her to do what wasn't to be done. She the manger said I can't take (ANYTHING) back in window. Then said she had to cause her manger told her to do so, so they can see what's wrong with it (drink). What's going on with the mangers there. Just don't care? It shows. $7. for a drink that didn't have everything it should plus wasn't mixed up correctly. Stop and think before lying. Which is it I CAN'T or only when you feel like it? I would have been more then happy to have poured it out right there instead of spitting in it. Cause I didn't want it after it wasn't made right. I had it out my window for her to get it, when her lies started. I CAN'T - I HAVE TO. She could have poured it out the window as well. Rude. I didn't want the sorry made drink, but don't start lying about everything. Late night crew got it going on with drinks, and how they talk to you. Over all nice, and friendly people on late night around 11 to 12:30 is the best time to go now cause the people on now could care less about you...
Read moreThe Elizabethton Dunkin Donuts is a mess. Being consistent with how drinks are made is obviously not something this store places value in. I’ve tried to get an iced coffee at this location more than 10 times and each time, the drink is never the same. I always order it the same way.
Today, I ordered my iced coffee along with an iced drink for my daughter and a donut. My coffee had 7 cubes of ice in it. They melted super fast.
I asked the girl at the window if they had decided to just stop putting ice in the iced coffees and she said, “Yes.” I thought she was joking, but she never smiled or offered to fix the drink. My iced (well, un-iced) coffee tastes like water. It’s truly disgusting. I would take it back but I’m traveling and have no time to go back and sit in their painfully long line. They’re not exactly quick at this location.
The donut was cold and stale. My daughter’s drink had no sugar in it and tastes terrible. The drink she ordered was supposed to be sweet and is sweet at every other DD location.
The Dunkin Donuts in both locations in Johnson City are usually pretty consistent with how they make their drinks. Someone needs to train management at the Elizabethton location and then train the employees so they know how to make drinks that are up to par with what Dunkin Donuts...
