Bub's Cafe — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

When we go out for breakfast, lunch or dinner we all want the best food and service for our money. Sadly, this seemingly simple need is not always met at the higher end establishments. In most cases, you are a just a number at a table and the servers function much like robots, responding as if from a script to your questions. If you want a delicious home meal, you have to go to a place that as soon as you go in it feels like you are with family back at home. This place is Bub's Cafe. Bub's Café is a mom and pop restaurant that will for sure cook you a meal with a smile. All fresh, not from a can.

There is just something about eating at Bub's Café that makes the meal taste better. Perhaps it’s the friendly service, making you feel right at home, or maybe it is the love they put into preparing each meal. Whatever the reason, the home cooked meals at Bub's Café are absolutely mouthwatering. I had breakfast and it was so good I went again for lunch. To my surprise lunch was also a great experience. My waitress named was Brandie and like all the workers there, the service she provided was like if she had just been visited by an old friend, attending my every need with a smile. Even the owner took the time to come by my table and asked me how I was and had a small conversation with me. Fast forward a year later to 11/29/23 My opinion hasn’t changed, this place is still great, I’ve been here many times and I have never left disappointed. My only complaint would be that when I retire I’ll have to drive further to get here. And with all the price hikes Bub’s has stayed reasonable and affordable. Breakfast below in photographs for under $10.00. Can’t beat it!

OMG THE BACON! I’d probably come here and just order a plate of bacon! If you are a bacon lover and haven’t eaten here, you’re going to hate yourself for not coming sooner. Your tongue will jump out and slap your face for waiting until now! Seriously, very clean, excellent food, extremely polite and attentive staff. They know their customers by name. I missed places like this.

4/18/2024 I hate that you can only leave one review. One of the biggest things I will hate about retiring in July is not being able to get here as much. If I lived closer I’d never leave here. Before I do retire I’m going to find out where they get their bacon! The fact that this place is always busy is a testament to the quality of service and food. But the staff here manages to stay on top of everything. Very prompt, polite, and professional service. The food is always amazing, and as busy as it is there is always a relaxing, “welcome home” environment. It’s like Cheers, but...

The food here is extremely bland, and low effort. You would be better off getting breakfast at a gas station than eating here. Btw, last time I came here, something funny happened. When I was waiting outside for them to open in the morning, some paranoid schizophrenic lady came out and told me she was going to call the police for... Reasons? First accusing me of standing too close to the car that I own, right after I was walking up to my driver seat door. Then after it became apparent that I owned my own vehicle. She informed me that I needed to drive off for committing the most dire crime of... Looking through windows? Attention schizophrenic boomer Karen's, taking a walk in the parking lot is not a crime, Looking at closed stores that are nowhere near your business and doing nothing further is not suspicious behavior. Take your meds.

I've been to this dump because they at least have decent coffee in a mug about a dozen times, but I'm not going to bother returning after being treated like some drug addicted...
