I try to avoid reviewing restaurants because I totally understand how difficult it can sometimes be with understaffing, supply chain issues, etc. and you may catch them on an ‘off’ day. However, I think the Sonic corporate team needs to dedicate some serious resources to helping this location get back on track or even reconsider replacing general management because it continues to be a total fail.
Every time I try this location, I’m reminded why it’s a huge mistake. The logistics of this store don’t make any sense and don’t follow the Sonic business model whatsoever. The stall system may as well be removed because you will end up sitting for ages with no response. Today, I attempted a mobile order. I pulled into the mobile stall and successfully checked in for my order of two drinks and a side of fries with no issues. At 10 mins post-confirmed pickup time, I finally gave up and went to wait in the drive thru for another 6-7 minutes. At the window, they acted like it was a totally normal thing to pick up via drive thru with no mention to my check-in at the pickup stall. No mention or apologies for my wait or issues, nada.
Now let’s talk my order. My drinks were fine, but I had literally 3 full French fries in the entire medium fry order. The rest was a mix of greasy, heavy little crumb pcs and overly crispy little snippets of broken fry edges. This order served as a great reminder that this location also cannot possibly rotate its food properly after sitting under a warmer. The next, I ordered a number 5 which is the double cheese with bacon plain with a large mozzarella stick with a large peanut butter shake, 2 corn dogs, a large chili cheese fries, an a route 44 cherry lime made extra cherry flavor (which I had to repeat 6xs what I wanted) We pull to the window I pay and I'm given the drink, I ask to make sure it has extra CHERRY flavor she said yes she made sure herself. I noticed the color was off, so I stir it with the straw, I take a drink it was watermelon. Waited until she came back to the window told her very politely it was incorrect they fixed it. It did not have the cherry flavoring that I asked (and paid for because they charge you) she hands us the food, says have a nice day and quickly shuts the window. We have to sit there for a few minutes before she opens the windows again and asked if we needed anything and when I tried to say my shake she talks over me yet again so I have to repeat AGAIN that I still need the large pb shake. She looked back at someone and then asked us to pull forward because the ice cream machine was thawing. We pull forward and sit for at least 5 minutes before the shake is brought to us and was lukewarm and so liquidity should have been considered milk not a milkshake. Read moreThis is probably the slowest restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered my food through the Sonic app (which has some really great deals sometimes) at 2:27 to be prepared ASAP. I waited until to go to the restaurant. Because there's been so many occasions (at least 5) where I waited for 30-40 minutes to get my food. This occasion was only different in that even after waiting 45 minutes to show up, upon checking in through the app, I still waited 30 more minutes for a double cheese burger and a Rt 44 slushie. Finally, after contacting the them again at 3:45, and telling them that I ordered at 2:30 and that I'd been checked for over 30 minutes, a disheveled guy brings my order out 10 minutes later, cold of course even though the guy SWORE that the order had only just popped up on their screen. I told him that was impossible that I'd watched at least 2 different people sit at the drive thru speaker for 20 minutes each waiting to place their order while I myself was waiting for my already ordered food. My receipt still said 2:27 I might also add. The burger was good after I microwaved it, but only half of the stalls have screens that work and the parking lot is always dirty. Even though they have some really good deals at times, I don't know that the time you have to wait for your (ALMOST ALWAYS COLD) food is worth it.
