The Local Butcher — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

We visited the day after the Grand Opening on my birthday, and the steaks we purchased there certainly made it a memorable one! They were some of the most tender, flavorful cuts of steak my wife and I have ever cooked up; and we cook a wide variety of steak at home. The staff were super friendly, and on top of the chaos that a new business in Elizabethtown always faces. The store is extremely clean, even with all the heavy traffic they had incurred. We purchased bread and a few sides while we were in there as well and have thoroughly enjoyed those as well! I cannot recommend this place enough. We look forward to being regulars! went in to purchase a pound of ham, when asked how id like it cut i requested shaved as thats an options posted on there glass case. Gentlemen looked at me and said " cant do shaved, sorry" with no explanation. I asked the lady at checkout why they couldnt shave it & she said they typically cant do shaved when they have a rush, mind you there was only one or two other customers in the entire store. Will not be back.

Finally made our first trip there today. There is no doubt we will be back. Super friendly and helpful. They even individually vacuum packed some steaks for us (didn’t grab photos of those). Had a great selection of products. I see a couple of reviews about high prices… I must disagree. Their prices are very reasonable. Feel free to go to the mega store for their discounted prices on meat you don’t know where it was processed at…. I am happy to pay a little extra for fresh cut meat that is cut and packaged on site…. Not at some mass...
