There was not much to praise about the interior. The furnishings are plain and simple. The furniture is clean and well-maintained. It also makes me feel at ease especially first time coming here.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to adjust my original entree order of their yook gae jang to bool go gi dup bob. The thin, tender slices of beef were combined with mushrooms, scallions, and white onions. Its flavor is weak, but its texture is perfect. Luckily, a complimentary tiny side dish was included to go with the meal. I liked that it gave the bland beef more taste. Since the side dishes are provided at no cost, feel free to ask for a refill. It came with a mildly flavored soup on the side to wash it down.
The food was served hot at my table, which I appreciated, and the service was prompt. Although they could do better at paying attention, the personnel was polite. Although the food is average, the price is affordable. I hope to return and sample more of their dishes. It doesn't seem like the food I ordered did justice and that’s why I want to give them a second chance. Thank you...
Read moreAs I began to eat, my initial impression was that I would be rating this place three stars. This place is by no means bad, nor is that to say that the food is not good, it is just that I have been to other Korean restaurants in the area that really wow me. Here, the food is what you would expect it to be. Simple, familiar, filling and even nostalgic. It's like eating a home made meal. Obviously I have rated this restaurant four stars, so why the change of heart you may ask? That's because there was one dish that was phenomenal! As soon as I took a bite, I was hooked. My mouth was filled with a surprising amount of flavors that was accompanied by the perfect texture. The dish that blew me away was the tofu. Interestingly enough, tofu was not my main dish. Rather, it is one of the side dishes that you normally receive at a Korean restaurant. The tofu alone was amazing enough for me to give this place four stars instead of three. I would sincerely go back to this place just to eat that marvelously cooked tofu. It is a must try...
